  1. 1. Who will start opposite Benford?

    • Sign Asante Samuel Jr
    • We will re-sign Rasul Douglas if the market for him is low
    • Ja'Marcus Ingram
    • Sign Jonathan Jones
    • We will trade for someone
    • Rookie
    • FA Field

Hopefully our 1st round pick. Barron, Revel, or Hairston would fit in very nicely here. If all of them are gone and CB value doesn't match up with our early picks, someone like Jonathan Jones would be a fine stopgap.

Well being Samuel isn't even on the roster I'll rule that one out.

I'm gonna say someone that gets cut after the draft.

Yes, I was looking at people out there that we could sign. I saw him and Jonathan Jones, but if we're going with an older player I figured we'd be more likely to bring back someone who knows the defense, but you're right, I should add him as an option.

I say DL in the 1st, CB in the 2nd, then DL again.

For what it's worth Kaiir Elam still has a higher PFF grade than all the guys on that list including Rasul Douglas.

Doesn't pass the eye test though.

They will sign a veteran CB and draft the next Kaiir Elam… I mean the next 1st Round CB in the draft.  Knowing Buffalo he probably doesn’t start in 2025

Jonathan Jones or maybe Adoree Jackson as older stopgaps. Asante Samuel Jr, Jeff Okudah, Benjamin St Juste…young guys with upside. To me after those guys I don’t see a lot of true competition out there.

They cannot roll with Elam

I know it was said the Bills were interested in Asante Samuel Jr. in his draft year (who knows if true or not) but the cost to sign him might be a bit too high. If that goes awry I can see them re-signing Douglas who they have familiarity with and then draft a guy which they'll most likely do with 1 of their 1st 2 picks in the draft.
