We have dueling opinions on this one.

It’s not like it’s a must have anymore so other poster is right in a sense but there are going to be some good RBs available still late in the draft imo so I’m not against it plus RBs get hurt a lot

We’ll be fine at RB now

Lol……IMO, we have Cook, Davis, Johnson, Evans and Gore Jr. so I don’t see a need to waste a pick this year on RB.

More important than most realize. Welcome back, Ty!

I absolutely agree. Dude is in a lot on 3rd downs for sure.  Heck of a blocker.  Rips off some nice runs.

Had a nice game against the Broncos in the playoffs.

Im not arguing that  fact I’m just prefacing that there will be value in taking a RB late in the draft versus other positions and I could see Beane adding a guy if he’s at the top of the board. These guys look beyond just next season when drafting. Johnson may have gotten two years but it might only be a 1 year deal for all we know

The way I can see it...

We have our entire RB room back from last year (Cook, Johnson, Davis) plus Evans and Gore fighting for a PS spot IMO.

To me this means they don't have to force a RB pick. But if someone falls and the value is there late in the draft they can grab him. I like it.

Anybody who watched Bills games last year realize how important he was.  I hope he gets a pay bump.

Until Cook holds out.  But I felt Davis could be a starter in this league.

Davis strikes me as the kind of RB that gets better with more involvement. I don't think he's a "committee back". I don't think it was a coincidence that his best game came from him being the lead dog and no Cook on the field. Some guys just need to stay in the game to produce.

If Cook leaves this year or next I don't think production will drop.

This is what I’m saying. Evans and Gore are most likely a nothing burger, Cook is on his last year, Johnson got two years but really it could have an out after one. If the value is there in round 6 they should consider it

I love Cook and how he hits the hole, disappears and somehow ends up gaining another 3-4 yards.  Can’t say I’m stoked about his pass catching, but he’s decent.

Ty, Ray and Gore Jr. certainly would make me feel pretty good if the bills decide to not break the bank for cook.

Ty is a huge piece to bring back. Super stable backup for sure.

100%.  That is why I have no problem packaging Cook and 30 to say Dallas at 12.

Absolutely. And if they don't take someone late, scoop up a priority FA RB instead.

Keep the pipeline full so you aren't forced into keeping Cook if he suddenly decides he wants 18 or 19...
