Ty Johnson re-signing odds certainly didn't go up.

Didn't go down either

Johnson and Evans have been on the same preseason roster for the last 2 years. This move is more competition for a PS spot than a roster spot/game day role IMO. And insurance if Johnson does move on. It doesn't prevent them from bringing Johnson back as well.

I do think what's telling is Beane is already on to possible PS players than actual meaningful FAs.

I just don't understand how they can possibly let the guy Josh Allen Called the best 3rd down back in the NFL, walk.  Beane must be high on himself and not understand that Ty was a part of how Josh won the MVP.

Which can indicate Ty Johnson's status is in doubt.

If every player Josh complimented publicly were retained our WR room would still have Diggs, Tanner Gentry and Jake Kumrow.

Could be Johnson isn't ready to sign and is waiting to see what trickles in. The business side flows both ways

He might want too much money. They have invested and might continue to invest in James Cook, they drafted Ray Davis with a semi premium pick, they picked Ty Johnson off the scrap heap and developed him. This is what good teams do. They bring out the best in a player and when the market gets too high they let them go. I think what the Bills want to give him and what Johnson wants they are apart on.

I can't blame Ty Johnson for trying to get the most he can get right now. He was a late round draft pick, floated around the league and he's nearly 28 years old now. This is probably his only chance to secure as much money as he can as a RB. If he doesn't get what he wants, i'm sure the Bills would love to have him back at their price.

I don't understand what was wrong with our RB room last season

Kind of thinking the Bills feel guys like Johnson, Morris, and Hollins will be replaced by low cost players who've been in the system.  Gore replaces Johnson, Davidson replaces Morris, and Virgil/Shavers replaces Hollins.  When you're up against the cap, these are the moves you need to make.
