I would bet most of those negative posters didn't watch the 8+ minute video...people seem to be forming what ever negative assumptions they can off the title of the thread/video and going with it. 3 3 Quote

I know that recovering from an injury can be difficult for most people. Upon the highest level athletes those injuries aren't the same. The best ride over an injury and play through being hurt. He needs to learn that and learn his body. 3 Quote

Logic Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Coming off the Tennessee and Seattle games, he was really starting to look like a player, and was really starting to build chemistry with Josh. After the injury? Not good. If you look at any split imaginable -- be it analytics-based, pure volume stats, efficiency, whatever -- from before his injury and after he returned, it's night and day. If we get pre-injury Keon (plus some growth and maturity) this coming season, I'll feel pretty good about his future. If we get post-injury Keon, I won't. I'm STILL mad that we only took one receiver in a historically loaded WR draft, but that's not the purpose of this thread... 2 2 3 Quote

He did sound disappointed that maybe they weren't trying to scheme anything for him specifically after the injury. But he also acknowledges that he was out for 6 weeks of real time. The offense had really shifted in that time. Maybe they didn't feel he put his all in conditioning wise during that time out, or maybe he didn't push through the rehab like they had hoped. Not sure what went on behind the scenes that caused McDermott and Beane to say what they did publicly. All we can do is hope he trains his tail off during the offseason, and comes back better from it. 3 2 Quote

SoonerBillsFan Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago The bottom line is that he has to step up this year. Bust his butt in this offseason, put any ego aside and just improve. What we saw post-injury sucked, to be honest, and he has caught his HC's eye, and not for a great reason. 3 Quote

That being said, I like Keon’s attitude. The Bills offense adjusted to being without him and was clicking. When he came back he didn’t whine about a diminished role, because he just wants to win. Am I missing something? That's what I took from the interview. He is a mature young man but I'm a little concerned the pop he took from Poy may have impacted his return and play the 2nd half. I expect 6 tds / 700yds / 60% catch rate this season. I think if he's goal oriented, these should be his numbers. 3 Quote

He’s saying the offensive rhythm changed and that was tough to adjust to post injury. McBean seemed to almost be critical of his effort or preparation. Nothing seemingly about it. Everyone who follows the team was/is rightfully critical of his effort post injury. Personally, I think he’s too much PUNK to learn and straighten his act out. Next! 1 1 3 Quote

He's a well spoken kid who seems to be mature and have a good head on his shoulders and is the opposite of Diva. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, I'm just not sure how it can be viewed as anything other based on what's said within that clip.. 1 Quote
Nephilim17 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago He literally talked about accountability and discipline, how winning is the number one goal, and about not being selfish when he came back from injury and the team was winning and doing better. Not sure where the negative takes on this come from. I suspect some people comment without watching the whole video, or maybe even any of it. 2 1 Quote

Understanding why a situation is taking place doesn't change a persons emotions towards it. He tried to solider through it. The organization saw a difference in his play. Seems it was more a challenge mentally returning than a physical limitation. Realizing the season wont go the way he wanted had an effect. I don't think it’s from a place of being a bad teammate or lack of effort. I think its more so a less then 10% difference in his focus or preparation. At the highest level the 5-10% change is the difference in a starter or a back up or a practice squad player. He was honest about it. A level of experience and maturity can make that a different situation in the future. Seems to fit what both Mcdermott and Beane were talking about. 1 Quote
