I think our 1st Lockdown anniversary, of which there were 6 in total, will be March 26th (Victoria, Australia).

I got Covid before it was even officially here. On 12/19/19 we drove for 8 hours down to Florida with a young lady who coughed the whole time. She had just returned from NYC. By Christmas Day I was so sick the wife put me in the back seat and drove 8 hours back to Atlanta. I coughed into February.

I will never forget how the golf courses I played on in April/May 2020 or so took the flags out and put pool noodles in the hole, so you wouldn’t touch the flags or the hole and get COVID. Saved my life. 😀

Our golf courses (Victoria)  here were shut. Golfers argued that a sport where you carry a stick (so can measure distance) and chase a little ball around a paddock is naturally a socially isolated sport… 

heck, they closed the Police Academy. You’d think that a group of folk that could be ordered to follow rules are cadet police.

My wife has noticed this, I have noticed this. Being in bands before Covid, no matter the bar you played at, the room was on a slow night, half full. More times than not the bar was packed with people. After Covid, you're lucky to get 10 people to see you play. It's a totally different vibe playing live before and after the lockdown.

I was pretty steamed when they didn’t open our golf courses in my state for a while. I think they ended up opening up around late May. To your point, golf is about as socially distant a sport you can have.  The upshot though is I ended up playing a record number of rounds in 2020, since there wasn’t much else to do!
