He has averaged over 15 YPC each of the last 2 years. Every year it's the same thing, the number comes out, then 3 days later when the details are released usually easily reduced. 1 Quote

He fills a need which is a guy who can serve as a pressure valve and win his one on one match when teams blitz. I agree that all day one signings are usually an overpay by teams but I was really talking to the overreactions in here. You'd think the Bills had given Palmer Ja'Marr Chase money by the way some people are complaining. Palmer is a solid WR and they didn't break the bank to get him. 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Not excited. Not upset. Yet another Beane "Meh" WR to me until he proves otherwise. Hope he does. Quote

If only you were the GM of the Bills, we'd be in so much better shape. 1 1 Quote

I figured they wouldn't want him but I was hoping. Same...he was my top guy and thought he was a real possibility for us. Palmer was high on my list though, due to his separation skills/route running. And mostly just the lack of options that I thought could be sure things in FA for us. He's got some untapped potential, but he's a clear WR3. Slayton would have been a WR2 type. I'm just not a fan of having what looks like 3 WRs right now....between Palmer, Samuel, Coleman. Too early on Keon and Samuel was banged up, but I'd have rather gone bigger than Palmer. Palmer at least gives us a steady #3, he'll be alot more consistent. Shakir (a #2 type IMO), and a bunch of 3s. Plus Kincaid/Knox and Cook/Ty/Ray. For a team that has kept just 5 WRs on roster in recent years, I question if we draft another WR early (Rd1 or 2). Mack has to be signed back, unless he's demanding too much...he's a perfect fit for us in that 4/5 role. 1 Quote

klos63 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Beane wasn't going to spend big on a WR, we need to focus the money on defense. 1 2 Quote

It would have helped to improve the talent level but we would still need an actually good boundary receiver. Ladd played from the slot a lot this year. 2 Quote

Everyone eats has ruined our reputation for stud WRs wanting to come here. There's a reason that LA didn't resign this dude for 13 per year, especially when they have no real studs at the position. This to me equals the Samuel signing. Which lambo UFA WRs are available that we missed on? Real question because I haven't check any lists. Quote
GASabresIUFan Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Solid depth receiver with some size and ok speed. He does find away to get open, but only catches about 55% of his targets. Quote

I would have looked like a fortune teller 😅 Except that I figured they'd target him because he would be a cheap option. I thought an offer would be 3 years for $12M total. Right now this looks like a crazy overpay unless they know something he hasn't put up ont he stat sheet. It probably won’t equal out to 12 million a year when all the details are reported. But in a league where the salary cap goes up exponentially most years, and the top wideout (JaMarr Chase) is going to get nearly 40 million per year, 12 million is not an overpay. It’s just the cost of business for a professional wr of a certain age, with a certain skill set. Does not preclude Beane from spending big on Benford or a different player. 1 2 Quote
