It feels more like maintaining what we had last year with a new role player sprinkled in. The best way we can help the pass rush is probably to add a legitimate starting CB and hope McDermott has seen the light and will get these guys up on the LOS to prevent free releases and limit people's ability to get the ball out in 2 seconds. Adding Asante Samuel will be a quality step toward that goal. 4 3 2 Quote

Kupp, Dhop, Copper even Adams imo are names. 2025 Palmer is as good as any of them outside looking at the analytics and efficiency ratings. He has been successful where the Bills offense has been lacking. He is 25 and entering his prime. Dont hate it. Big jump for Coleman? No. Offering more for the offense than what Hollins brought? Yes. Coleman and Hollins accounted for 950 plus yards and 10 plus Tds. If Coleman does 80% of that I'm happy. I think that is also realistic projection 750 and 8? That would be a very good year. Keon was a non factor for a significant part of the regular season and the entirety of the playoffs. I don't think a slight bump in production is going to do much for this team overall. Quote

Last offseason was a prime opportunity to add to the room and Beane instead did the bare minimum. But you can't compound that mistake by making desperate moves in a weaker offseason and leave yourself with no flexibility in the draft. You know I'm the biggest advocate on here of adding WR talent. I'm extremely disappointed that we didn't give up what was needed for Metcalf. But with Higgins franchised Metcalf was the only big investment worth making. So it is what it is. I just disagree with your assessment on Kupp. He doesn't give the WR room what it needs and since we're only keeping 5 WRs that would mean it was guaranteed we wouldn't draft a WR with an early pick. I think you need to give up the draft a WR early hope. The FO drafted Kincaid and Coleman with their first picks in the last two drafts. Don't you want a better WR room in '25 than '24? Another rookie doesn't do it, while a vet WR could. Such as wouldn't you rather have A Cooper than any rookie for 2025? A Cooper '25 > A Cooper '24 - he won't be acquired part way in, and more importantly will have healed wrist (vs being one year older). That right there would make for an improved WR room A Coop '25 > A Coop '24, Palmer> Hollins, Coleman '25 > Coleman '24, Shakir '25 = Shakir '24, C Samuel '25 > C Samuel '24. I'm with you in being disappointed in not getting DK, but it's not DK or nothing (rookie) for me. And if the FO can get Kupp or Coop for <$20M, the numbers start to make sense because there is a lot of work to be done on the defense. Who do you like better, C Kupp or A Cooper? Quote

Stunts and twists expose running lanes and I doubt McDermott is ever going to be willing to do that any more often than he already does. 1 hour ago, SoCal Deek said: What makes you think McD is going to suddenly ‘see the light’? Our depth (and coaching) always murders us in the playoffs. Quote

You are correct, those easy yards we regularly give up is our Achilles heel on defense, I have never understood why doing so has been part and parcel of the defense and is why we get beat in the most crucial game every season, oh well, always hoping for the best, 2 Quote

billsfan89 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago The few times I have watched the Palmer he's looked like a solid player. His production hasn't been bad through 4 years but it is not been spectacular either. Still very young at age 26 this upcoming season and while a bit of an overpay (hey that's free agency) he does fit the type of player the Bills need at WR (a true WR that operates on the boundary). So hopefully he blossoms with Josh. Quote

Even got the same exact contract as Slayton. He’s a stopgap. 1 Quote

Roster slots are flexible. You don’t let a preference to keep 5 WRs on a roster versus 6 dictate your early round draft strategy. That’s even worse than basing major FA decisions on the comp formula. Salty AF. Quote
