If it's any consolation Pro Football Reference has him at a 5% drop rate with 3 out of 4 years with 4 drops or less. 1 Quote
L Ron Burgundy Posted Monday at 11:16 PM Posted Monday at 11:16 PM This may have already been shared. He's slower than Keon? I didn't think that was possible. "Jesse Palmer's 40-yard dash time is 4.78 seconds. " 2 1 Quote

There's a path to believe he could be. His catch percentage is about 10% better on average. Drop percentage is lower. Palmer has a 70 catch season but Davis was clearly almost exclusively a deep ball guy so he was never going to catch 70 balls. What we need is a guy who can take one on one coverage and produce catches outside. Hopefully he fairs better than MVS. 1 1 Quote
billsfan89 Posted Monday at 11:23 PM Posted Monday at 11:23 PM Always produced fairly well and is the type of boundary WR the team needs. Nice signing bit of an overpay but that’s free agency. Hoping the Bills still draft a WR in round 2 to add depth and development to the position Quote

FireChans Posted Monday at 11:29 PM Posted Monday at 11:29 PM All you need to ask yourself about this signing is: 4th and 10 vs the Chiefs in crunch time. Do we want Josh throwing the ball to Josh Palmer? 1 Quote

Ok Palmer it is. 1 Quote
Mikie2times Posted Monday at 11:43 PM Posted Monday at 11:43 PM He's got a really good body, physical but not slow. Sort of a poor mans Amari Cooper. I thought he would break out with the Chargers lack of WR talent it just never happened. It's a bit concerning that it didn't but not a bad signing. I'm just looking for the type of signing that gives us an edge in the divisional round or later and I haven't see anything yet. Hard not to be disappointed but still time left. 1 Quote

PayDaBill$ Posted Monday at 11:50 PM Posted Monday at 11:50 PM (edited) As far as I can tell Palmer had a nice season in 2022 catching 72 balls for 769 yards but a knee injury slowed his progress in 2023. Looks like for whatever reason he was not a primary target or focus with Harbaugh in 2024. Palmer’s young and has showed promise and potential. Sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery.
