Josh elevates his WRs and having a great O-Line and a real running game will get the job done on that side of the ball again. We need to build the defense this off season and that is where I hope Beane makes the big investments. It was good for sure. But i also don't think we can count on the insane efficiency again. I think Josh only had 8 turnovers? And something like he had the least negative plays ever by a starting QB in like 40 years? Not to say they wont be good, but Thats a tough formula to replicate Quote

Josh Palmer's separation score per FPD is 10th in the NFL and and his win rate is 5th among all WRs including the wild card round. Whoever signs Josh Palmer will be getting a gem. 1 2 1 Quote

Cheektowaga Chad Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago At 18 million guaranteed for three years, this is likely very incentive based to reach 36 million We will see what kind of bonus they have in the contract but I can't imagine it being easily achievable bonuses unless he is performing Quote

Everytime i watch LA play he sticks out, just had a mediocre QB who had an awful OL. Watch, there's obviously no guarantees but he definitely has those characteristics to be an elite outside guy and at 25 is just approaching his prime Shhhhh, you're gonna upset the pitchfork crowd. 1 1 Quote

There was not a big FA WR crop this year, and of what was available he ticks the boxes. And I did not think a guy like Metcalf was worth as much as some did; would rather have our draft picks. 1 Quote

GunnerBill Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Well it's something. It is a legit outside receiver with some speed. But he only had 500 odd yards on a team crying out for outside receivers in 2024. It's a baseline improvement. But it doesn't do much for the ceiling of this offense IMO. 1 Quote

I don't know why he only ran that at the Combine. But he has always looked like he plays quicker. I didn't have him as a super speedster but mid to late 4.4s is where I'd peg him. Quote

Not sure what the problem is…… There is no problem- unless you’re a member of the sadness brigade. palmer is a great route runner with very good hands, solid in contested catches and is explosive on the top of his routes. He knows how to stack DBs. He’s also a solid blocker. He may have signed for more than many were thinking he would and he runs a 4.52 40. Hence some people are sad. I know you and I are happy. This offense isn’t currently built to have a superstar WR1. We likely wouldn’t use that WR accordingly and it would be a waste of money/resources for a part time decoy. I would’ve been happy with one, but the reality is, we don’t need one to have a great offense. Palmer is more than capable of playing coopers role. 5 1 Quote
