So were Louis Riddick and Dan Orlovsky, for what it's worth.  They compared him to Chris Olave and Chris Godwin as a route runner.  I like that kind of upside.

Don’t really understand why the Chargers let him go…if there were any actual Chargers fans, we could ask them…

Not much on RAC but excellent hands and short area moves.

And to me that’s what they want. Precision route running, catches everything, blocks. Team player. He will help.

Is he better than Curtis Samuel? Bc all these pundits liked that signing last year, and... Pft... Nothing.

Samuel was battling turf toe most of the season.

Nice!  He was one of the guys I felt would be on our short list.  I am sure the "mortgage everything" for a WR crowd will be underwhelmed, but make no mistake about it, I think he is a good fit for this group and really brings something we have been missing to this offense.

I thought him or Slayton were names to watch for us, so glad to see us lock one up early and at a reasonable deal.

I'm thrilled,  LA had a bad OL, Mediocre QB and Palmer still showed out , don't be fooled by the stats, I'll bet 1k that we're saying we got a steal this time next year, the highlights speak for themselves,  I'll provide some in a bit . At 25 , the potential is high

He looks a little like Stevie Johnson <ducks>

Josh Palmer = Robert Woods?

He doesn't look nearly as tough as Woods, imo.

I'll be honest, $12M/yr seems kind of outrageous for a guy with these numbers.

I like the addition but I have no idea how he got that kind of dough.

It's $18M guaranteed, so let's see the terms.  Perhaps incentive laden?

I'm genuinely curious:

As a man-to-man beater who gets big time separation...why do you feel he didn't excel in what surely seemed to be a wide open wide receiver room in LA last season?

Greg Roman offense?

Not so great pass protecting O-Line (Herbert was sacked 41 times last year)?

Herbert only threw an average 29 times/game and only completed 19/game?

At least he ran .08 seconds faster than Coleman. We have a burner now 🔥

I kid. I kid.

He gets some good separation and can catch the ball.

Their skill sets aren't even close.  Palmer is an X WR who can separate.  Shakir is a slot WR who is great at finding soft spots in zones and has great YAC ability.

A true X? Really?

He's a hand catcher too which is nice.

There seems a philosophy shift and they aren’t going to pay anymore for a number 1 WR on this everybody eats, run heavy offense to get 800 yards and 80 targets maximum …

Hope they improve the D now, so they can get a few stops and get off the field quicker/more frequently. Put the ball back in the MVPs hands instead of having him sit on the bench staring into space whilst they are giving up another long drive ..

His potential is sky high. Don't be surprised if he exceeds 1k yards, He was the WR i wanted, watched a few Chargers games, their OL is trash, Herbert is good and Palmer, only 25 always popped out to me on the outside, which we need. There's no guarantees but sky is the limit with him. He could be a beast in this O. Watch his tape!!!

BBB making the proper moves, love it. True weapon, playmaker
