Kupp is a Slot WR. We don't need another Slot WR. We've got Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir (Slot), and Curtis Samuel (50% Slot). Then we have Dalton Kincaid, who's also half or more out of the Slot

We need to find replacements for or re-sign Amari Cooper and Mack Hollins.

I fully understand all of that and pointed out this issue last offseason but there we were drafting Keon and not adding perimeter speed

so now I’ll say I’m not shocked if we bring in the king of the slot with 3 of the guys you mentioned not achieving like we would hope

The Bills have a very good roster that should have a chance to compete for a Super Bowl.  I feel that this offseason was all about maximizing the SB window and adding impact players on offense and defense.

Hendrickson is the only one left and that’s probably a pipe dream.   Bills aren’t going to overspent for a player like Josh Sweat or Javon Holland either.

In 2019, Brandon Beane chose to spend money on players like Cole Beasley and John Brown to average contracts, as opposed to overpaying a WR.

I have a feeling they’ll do the same this season.  Maybe a notch above the Tim Settle’s on the free agent market.  Not what I was hoping for.

I don’t know. You do the full reset and come out with major flexibility because you intend to push chips on the table not to be thrifty

To do what? Take the guy we just signed to a 53m contract off the field?

Even if we moved on from Samuel (he's a 12m Dead Cap hit this season) and Dalton Kincaid - that's still not enough slot reps to make a Kupp level investment for.

Unless, again, you want to cut into Shakir's reps - in which case, why did we just make the investment we did?

What moves are you anticipating then?

I’ll stress again the difference between me wanting it and me offering the possibility that it may happen.

that said… kupp has always split snaps so a slight shift outside by him and Samuel, while Shakir also can move around the offense…. These guys aren’t all locked into splitting reps at a single location.

We’ve already tried this with “think of them as pass catchers”

For the love of all things holy, please just get Josh some speed on the outside.

Bring in Kupp and teams might as well start playing us no high safety.

I think I am back where I started before the chase for Myles and DK became a thing.

Jevon Holland is everything the Bills need at free safety. While it isn't a premium position he is so much better than what he is replacing the value above replacement is huge.

Agree. If we throw money at Kupp I will find the nearest wall and bang my head against it until September (not literally but you get the point)....

I'm bringing in Slayton for outside speed and Hollins and 4 and 5 respectively toss in a draft pick likely in early day 3. Negligence is that we had the 2nd best points per game last season with a similar WR core.

We don't currently have a WR on our roster that has above a 900 yard receiving year on his resume.  Not addressing that somehow is negligence.

Hoping for: Something Beane always seems to do well is sign solid pick-ups in positions of need. This takes pressure off the draft, and helps plug holes where there are weaknesses/needs. There have been a few misses, but overall he has a good record.

oh I have.  I’m in Pgh.  Huge talent, huge nutcase.  I’d gamble if we can’t hit elsewhere on a WR.

They got DK to pair with Pickens.   AAron will be behind center for Pitt this year. Then they'll look to draft one.

I agree Pickens likely stays in PIT.  However, in the event PIT does offer him for trade, I'd take that risk.

But they couldn’t get open in the AFC championship game which exposed that group.… It needs to improve.

Call me crazy but think our defense's inability to stop the KC offense has been a bigger concern than our offense's ability to score the last few seasons.

Surprised no mention of Josh Palmer but given the known options at WR right now, I wouldn't mind him. Good value.

He's on my short list with Slayton, I just prefer Slayton as think he less of a risk.
