Allen has supreme athleticism but don't act like he hasn't gotten command inside the pocket and continuously gets better

John elway played good past 35 so can Josh Allen with modern medicine

You are incorrect Josh break records almost weekly because of luck and hurdling defenders only. All QBs score 40+ TDS with only 15 negative plays every year

If the Bills haven’t won a ring by the time his contract is I can see him looking to move on - basically try and do a Stafford.

Seems like an excellent deal and massive credit to Josh for not trying to reset the market. He could have easily done so.

Pretty weak that your first comment after he signs a long term deal is that he may want to move on after it's over - even moreso after reading your second comment.

This is why I can't in good conscience criticize this regime too harshly. They targeted and aggressively went after Josh in the draft, developed him into the best player in the NFL, and have once again extended him at a below market contract. Well done.

I can't tell if you're serious or not but Josh literally hurdles two guys a season he's not doing it every week lol

He had 102 Rushing attempts... About 45 of them were tush pushes

That leaves about 60 rushing attempts in 16 games... At this point he leaves the pocket to throw not even to run mostly

He'd rather be like Aaron Rodgers or favre in his prime and scramble behind the line of scrimmage to throw.. and he'll have enough juice to run away from defensive lineman for a while

Allen ain’t Brady, he relies on his athleticism. Maybe Allen learns to read a defence better, but backyard football will be tough to play at 35.

Fran Tarkenton, the 1975 NFL MVP at 35 years old, would like a word there, guy. THIS WAS BACK WHEN 1975 NFL RULES APPLIED, TOO.

Huge discount.  He could have done 12 years $1b (stacked at back end) and it would have been reasonable.

I have to comment here - we agree, I said they should offer a 20 year billion dollar contract and let the chips fall as the May. Josh could have demanded what you mention but this is why we love Josh.

Josh had already (with his first deal) created generational wealth for his family.  This deal is more money than he'll ever spend.  He's not one of those guys that HAS to be the absolutely best paid player to feel like he's valued.  He's well aware of what he means to the team and the community.  A relatively team-friendly deal makes perfect sense to me.  Life is very good to him these days.  Might as well help the team get the pieces they need for his ultimate goal now....

just my .02

There is goodness to this, a respect on both sides of value to each other. Congrats on both sides, Josh does seem to respect and is thankful for what the Buffalo city and the team has done for him. The Bills know that they hit the lottery that created team monetary value and a stadium. No losers here, no "I want to paid." Respect to as it done quietly. The result is this also the fans, "The Mafia". Maybe if you people hadn't stepped up and funded the Patrcia Allen Fund his take would be different. 3 winners here, him, The Bills and the fans.

Trying to be funny but probably failing, so many think he is common or just a good athlete, when he is the truest unicorn ever.

Allen has time to develop into more of a pocket passer as he ages, I hope he does. Elway did play three seasons past age 35, but Elway didn’t take nearly as much abuse as Allen does.

And Elway had elite talent everywhere to take the load off of him. Allen has zero elite players currently, so hoping Beane actually finds a way to get Allen help.

You sir are on my IGNORE LIST for life.

If you're not pissed about how management and coaching has continually failed the best player in the league and the best player this franchise has ever seen, then I don't know what to tell you.

Ofc he is

But he's not relying on athleticism like RG3 ...

He has great pocket presence and throws darts from the pocket.. his athleticism is an added boost to making him the best football player ever

He can still maneuver around the pocket and throw darts for years even past his prime

Fans of the Buffalo Bills should take a moment to realize what Josh Allen just did here.

HE is all in on everything Buffalo.

I for one am proud to be a Bills fan today!
