Josh had already (with his first deal) created generational wealth for his family.  This deal is more money than he'll ever spend.  He's not one of those guys that HAS to be the absolutely best paid player to feel like he's valued.  He's well aware of what he means to the team and the community.  A relatively team-friendly deal makes perfect sense to me.  Life is very good to him these days.  Might as well help the team get the pieces they need for his ultimate goal now....

We need to hit on a guy with speed and separation.  There are guys in FA and the Draft that can do that.  We MUST emphasize Defense this offseason to get over the top.

Massive discount for what he means to this team. He could have held buffalo hostage in a heartbeat and demanded waaaay more. Teams like the raiders that have money would have given thier first born son for josh. 

 

Really cool to see a player say they love buffalo and actually back it up with a deal like this.
