Fits the mold of YAC, deep threat we need on the outside. most importantly, he is a great locker room guy and is all about the team. He is a perfect fit. I hope they work out a 3 yer deal with him. He can maximize the targets he gets with his speed and wont complain when he is not the main guy, which he wont be. Meanwhile, when the steelers lose 17-9 at baltimore in december I am not so sure it will be a nice locker room to be in. 1 Quote

Nothing about the trade compensation or the money is shocking. This was the known asking price. Rousseau plus Bernard's AAV more than makes up for it. Beane chose the two solid players over the one great player. That decision is emblematic of his strategy in general and it hasn't gotten us over the hump. 1 3 1 Quote

And if our outside WRs struggle as badly as they did last year, this will be the latest example of him failing to add to the room. I really hope he has some kind of plan. Insert Kevyn Adams’ “We will improve by internal development.” Quote

Btw, see Diggs, Amari Cooper, Emanuel Sanders, and draft picks like Cook, Shakir, and Kincaid for weapons. The DK deal is a bad one and would have handcuffed the Bills on both sides of the ball for years. But he's a star that you've heard of, so that means "going for it" in your mind. We went for it with Von Miller. How'd that work out for us? 1 Quote

Fetou Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Wouldn't mind the draft pick cost at all but that contract is too steep IMO. Quote

If you look at his stats in his career, he averages just over 1000 yards a season. I think Metcalf is a good to very good player. But pound for pound I think benford is better than him- As I think benford is a borderline top 5 corner, and Metcalf is definitely well out of the top 5 and probably isn't even top 10. If you want to argue Metcalf plays more than a premium position, that's definitely fair Quote

Again, we were in the AFC championship game last year. He spent first round capital for a wide receiver and traded for a big name (who did not help) at the deadline. Btw, Cooper was coming off a much better season than DK. You mention the Chiefs...what big name did the sign early on that opened their championship window? The Rams are one of the few stories (in 50 years of fandom) where I've seen that tactic actually work. And the Eagles got Saquon. Great move. He didn't cost 30 million and a 2nd round draft pick. DK is a very good player. I don't think a great player. And I don't believe he's the difference between the Bills and a title, especially considering that they'd have no money (and one less draft pick) to fix the defense. 1 1 Quote
