I could easily see Pittsburgh moving on from Pickens.

 

He'd fetch them a #1, as much of a headache he is, he would be unreal with a real QB

Welp, I’m convinced. A WR of this magnitude isn’t in our cards, considering what it costs. With how the offense has been built, we can’t justify that cost. Right now, we don’t need a WR to take up 40% of the loot on field. We don’t play that way.
 

So we pick up guys who posses one or two of the skills we need AND we draft. A stud on a rookie deal is the best we’ll get.

They way he likes to fight and swing helmets around, I would call him if I need help in a bar fight, but for that kind of $, we need a players that isn't going to follow a 40 yard compeltion with a 15 yard penalty on first down. Emotional maturity is a thing.

30 million a season seems accurate for a WR1, Beane made the assessment that a 2nd plus a massive cap charge was not worth it for DK. You can argue it either way but it's not a bad non-move in my opinion

That WR better be worth 25 plus mill a year or teams just ain’t interested.  That’s all I got.  
 

The game is shifting to trenches and running the ball.  The Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, Chargers, are all telling you this. 
 

Even Houston didn’t want him at that $ and they have cap room as well.

Maybe the Steelers will trade Pickens with DK in town? Or maybe the Saints Olave? Those are the only trade options I can think of. In the meantime I’m gonna bump the ole draft [many] WRs this year thread.
