It further adds to the point that those guys put up numbers despite having those guys not scaring anyone. Kincaid and Coleman not getting a lot of targets is as much a function of their ability to get open as it is the scheme. It’s an indictment on both of them. Coleman caught 10 of his last 29 targets!! That’s insanely bad. Rice and Worthy get the ball because they get open. I agree it's bad but also know Coleman was coming back from a wrist injury which makes catching the ball far more difficult. He sacrificed a 4th round pick to move up for Knox, sacrificed a 4th for Elam, and a 4th for Kincaid. Think he sacrificed a 4th for Cody Ford too, either that or a 5th. Tried to sacrifice a 3rd for Bishop last year too but teams weren’t taking his call. My complaint has been that Beane trades up too much. Of course I wouldn’t be saying that if he had hit on at least one other blue chip player. As such, I’d rather sit pat or trade down and accumulate more ammo. 2 Quote

If he had 1 leg, catching 10 of 29 would be awful. He was coming back from a wrist injury. That shouldn’t have impacted his ability to get open at all. His lack of separation will cap his ceiling as a role player. You can’t get 7 or 8 targets a game if you’re covered all 7 or 8 times you’re thrown to. It’s just not efficient. Keon is going to have to become a player that he wasn’t last year or in college. He MUST become a different player or he’s James Hardy. He’s a guy that you’ll throw some jump balls to and hope that he wins in the air down the field. He will see 4 balls a game and be a 40-50 catch guy. Edited March 18 by Kirby Jackson Quote

Made some fine catches on the boundary, toe taps etc. But the drops and lack of separation became his calling card and more risk than reward. Brady needs to figure this Kid out and quick if he cant get to the spot on time and in stride, or catch the comeback. Kirby I just can't give up on him yet though 😇. he and E Moulds and Shakir need to spend quality time together 2 Quote
Augie Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Is this where we repeat them or start them? Almost the same thing. 🤷♂️ Quote

He has some skills but the concerns coming out were on display last year. I don’t think he reaches Gabe’s level but he could be “early Gabe.” He can be a change of pace guy that makes some plays down the field. He’s also physical and a good blocker. He can help in the running game. I just don’t see him ever becoming a consistent producer as a WR because of his lack of separation. Throwing to covered guys isn’t efficient. To bring this back on topic, a WR is on the table in the first 2 rounds. It has to be. DT/CB/WR/Edge and MAYBE safety if an elite player is there. Edited March 18 by Kirby Jackson 1 1 2 Quote

Agreed he still looks like what he was defined as , in College. perhaps he really needs to focus this off season on contested balls and focusing. Strength training to rip balls and turn. There has to be something he can truly develop beyond blocking. Some latent skill set they loved ? Edited March 18 by 3rdand12 1 Quote

Kidding aside, I get your point. He hasn't had much luck moving up at points of draft. He did exactly as you said this past draft, moved back / collected a 3rd and drafted Keon. I think we were all in on Addison. Unfortunately, sometimes trades don't work out and you need a partner to tango. 2 3 Quote

I mean, if you want to believe that the wrist was the reason that he couldn’t get open, go for it. He’s never beaten man coverage with hand fighting. That wasn’t what held him back after the injury. 1 1 Quote
Low Positive Posted March 19 Posted March 19 For everyone who still doesn't believe that Cooper Kupp "went home," here is his into press conference in a Pearl Jam t-shirt and a flannel. Can't get more Seattle than that. 1 Quote
NeverOutNick Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Let’s get us some WR Rondale Moore. That would make up for some of the head scratching decisions this offseason Quote
