Beane has to have a plan, though, since he traded Kair. I'm also wondering if the back to back concussions are contributing to the wait on a Benford extension. Yeah, I tend to agree, but we said the same thing in 2022 and his plan back then was to back himself into needing a specific positon and that resulted in a trade-up and reach for a crap corner. So I just hope he learned from that mistake and history does not repeat itself. 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Looking at some of the contracts for RBs, Ty got a pretty decent deal out of the Bills. Got some extra security at 2 years and got 2.5 per which had been high for backup types this year Quote

Logic Posted March 13 Posted March 13 If the Bills don't learn from the mistake they made the year they drafted Elam, and they go into the draft with a gaping hole at CB2 and the whole world knowing they need to draft a corner....I'm gonna scream. Luckily, I think (hope?) that Beane is not stupid enough to make that mistake again. Even Dane Jackson or Tre'Davious White would provide a baseline/floor so that the Bills aren't desperate on draft day. 5 4 Quote

Mostert, Davis and Johnson would be great behind our O line and I’m sure Beane would take a later round RB to compete as well 1 Quote

OR throw the whole draft world for a loop and take DE, DT, WR with pick #30. As of now we have two 2nds, two 4ths, and I think 12 5th round picks LOL Quote

Bosa/Hoecht/Ogunjobi replaces Miller/Smoot/Johnson/Phillips/Jefferson = Hard to answer. Miller on paper had better year than Bosa. I look at Hoecht and Ogunjobi as washes. Palmer replaces Hollins/Cooper = I am not as high on Palmer as others so call it a wash. However, the threat of Cooper potentially had an impact that Palmer does not bring to the table. Punter - Who cares as long as they dont suck. TE - Do we need to replace Morris. Should not be hard to grab a 3rd TE. Forrest replaces Douglas/Elam = Still work to do. Need starting CB and depth. Evans replaces himself as a practice squad or cut Edited March 13 by ngbills Quote

Still need CB, and. Big DT or 2. Add a WR and go to camp. 2 Quote

I would have thought Benford was 1st priority of the potential extensions. Now I'm wondering if the 2nd concussion has scared them off. I wouldn't be shocked to see them wait and see how the season goes and revisit half way through. 1 Quote
