Guys, just relax about Bobby Brown. It really was his prerogative to go to the panthers.

Stop hoping and wishing. This GM has shown you all over the years that he doesn't go after really good players that are proven. He picks his free agents like he does his draft picks..... projects, usually either old, or dudes who were JAGs. He drafts the same way, projects that we hope pan out, but imo we don't develope our draft picks that well either.

What in the actual ***** are you talking about?

Didn’t develop Shakir, Cook, Bernard, Brown, Benford, Johnson, ALLEN?

Josh Allen is arguably the greatest player development example in NFL history…

Its the only move or non move I have had an issue with today.

Oops then sorry, I didn't want to sound personal anyway, that was my overall reaction to all those comments which imply that Beane should've done something when nobody knows if it was even on the table.

Feels like we have one splash move still to come. Albert Breer in an article this morning said we made an offer for Myles Garrett and that we planned on making a run at Tee Higgins if he wasn't franchised. Also FWIW I heard earlier today that we were in on Metcalf, just not willing to match or beat Pittsburgh's offer. So Beane had a splash move earmarked for this offseason. But the potential splash move options are dwindling. Right now we're down to trading for Trey Hendrickson or signing Jevon Holland. Unless I'm missing someone?

Jevon Holland would be a shocker to me. I don't see them going big at Safety. Henrickson (or Higgins if they decide to keep Hendrickson) would be VERY nice. I'll still believe it when I see it when it comes to Cinci trading with us.

The name i'm still waiting to hear on is CB Charvarius Ward.

Reading this thread is hilarious. People need to chill. Day one of legal tampering and the sky is falling.

Agreed. I always thought he planned to do something big this offseason. But there are not many options left (there were not many overall).

Its the deepest part of the draft.  We need to get younger there.  Spend the money on the secondary and draft the d line.

Kind of reminds of how deep WR was last year. But, he we are.

Looking back, through year 1 of course, last years draft class was highly overrated to this point

Don’t let facts get in the way of a good argument.  Don’t forget Torrence.

People are looking for big time upgrades to get us over the hump. They were hoping for Garrett, Metcalf, Crosby, Higgins, Adams - etc. When that all dried up, the hopes went to Free Agency. There isn't a massive number of big time upgrades available there.

Watching everyone get scooped up, the realization hits that we're probably going to have to rely on under the radar signings that you hope will blow up in Buffalo and Draft Picks again. And that's a tough pill to swallow for most.

No problem! The money paid out today is just stupid and I'm glad Bene didn't partake...except for Brown 😁

Hendrickson would be the best move we can make at this point, for sure. I remain skeptical that Cincy would trade him to us but I would like the move.

The reason I bring up Holland is we have all this available money and nothing to spend it on. It feels like a waste not to use all of our resources in this championship window. He's the only big ticket item I see remaining that makes sense for our roster, although I'm not in love with the idea of spending big at the safety position.

Ward I don't consider a splash move per se. I would be fine with it though. My preference is a cheap vet and then draft one high but there's a clear need there. Is Benford in their long term plans? If not then I would be more in favor of signing Ward, but if he is then I'd rather not have two expensive CBs under contract at the same time.

Well you look at the remaining FA list and it's not exactly exciting. I keep getting told we need to save all our money to rebuild the defense, but who are we spending that money on? Unless we trade for Hendrickson there's no big needle movers coming this year, just some baseline improvements across the board.
