The Steelers had a long history of excellent drafting with Kevin Colbert. This combined with a HOF quarterback kept the team in the thick of the hunt for a Lombardi.

 

They no longer have Big Ben, or Colbert. Their past team building strategies are gone. Looks like they're trying to find a new path.

There's a solid chance the players available after teams make cuts between now and June 1st will be just as good if not better at some positions...and much better value

I'm seeing 40M with 30M guaranteed on a 2 year deal. That's essentially a prove it contract with a void year IMO.

They have to do something to put butts in the seats. 

 

I don't know how we can claim to be a stud franchise when we haven't won anything. We haven't even been to the big game. There were also a lot of people last year ripping on the Eagles for what they gave Saquon but that big swing helped win them a championship. 

 

I'm not saying spend recklessly but what we've been doing considering we have an elite QB has not translated into postseason success either. There's a cost to being too conservative as well.

Another guy I kind of like for the Bills is Michael Hoecht from the Rams. Not a big stats guy but does a lot of different things for the Rams. Probably reasonable money and could fill the Smoot role

Someone initially had it at 3 for 30 which pissed me off but later someone else said it was 3 for 54 which I’d be okay not touching

The jags signed Safety eric murray, 3 for 22.5 I assume to replace Andre Cisco.

 

If the Bills could snag cisco and stick him at free safety at 1 for 6 or something I think that would be a great vet signing.

I was just arguing this with someone who i won't name on this very thread.  We are always good team, but people act like we're great. Great is getting to the show, elite is winning. Good is just going to the playoffs and many on this board are content with playoff births and second round exits.
