Darnold to the seahawks $110 million over 3 years

I seriously wouldn’t sign this guy to the vet minimum. Good luck without two top-10 receivers, an elite TE, and the best QB whisperer in the NFL.

So much money for mid tier players.

Right - they overspent on all of these signings.  Williams might be turn out to be the best one

I mean Beane literally told everyone we prob wouldn’t have any big splashed and people still get up in arms

It's just that the team has obvious needs and we went through a cap reset last year. This offseason was supposed to be the payoff where we built the second version of the Josh Allen-led Bills. And so far, the team is worse on paper than it was last year.

Yes and no. This defense needs a huge influx of better talent.

That’s what draft picks are for. My issue are with the people who need to hear about a signing right this minute or they’ll complain are GM isn’t doing anything and overlook the Allen, Groot, Bernard and Shakir contracts!

Sure but I don’t see any deals right now that I woulda liked to make. I just see people paying Mercedes prices for Mazdas

Allegedly they offered Geno a 2 year $90m deal and he declined. They flipped him for a 3rd and signed a younger vet QB for $10m less per year.

i mean I don’t love it, but I do get the logic if you look at apples to apples here

That’s what you’d think… but then again last season we all thought they wouldn’t trade Diggs if there wasn’t a big plan to replace him  in mind.

There was no big plan - unless you think it was trading down to draft Keon Coleman and signing Chase Claypool.

I think they are waiting to sign the undervalued type FA’s and honestly it might be the best plan

This team desperately needs game breakers on offense and defense. Undervalued FAs aren't fixing that. With Beane's draft record in the first 2 rounds finding elite talent doesn't give me much hope.

It’s 2 1/2 hours into Free Agency, the cap reset was so we could sign the vast majority of our free agents who are good players.  We are likely to have 10 draft picks this year as well. Mack Hollins, Ty Johnson and Rasul Douglas aren’t making or breaking the Bills next year

Oh. My.  Goodness.

wow.

121.8M in cap space with a directive from the owner to spend it all will cause a front office to overpay. This is like that old Richard Pryor movie Brewster's Millions.

Every year the same thing happens on the first couple days of free agency:  The crappy teams make a bunch of splashy signings; Bills fans get upset that we didn't sign one or more of these big names; and the following season, the crappy teams are still crappy, despite the big name signings, and the top teams like KC, Baltimore, Buffalo, etc are still at the top of the heap...

For those upset, who’s out there that you currently want? Most teams signed their own before letting them become FA’s. Thus far, there isn’t anyone that I feel has been a huge miss by the Bills.

Sweat and or Ward are the two in my radar.

I was thinking more about having to trade for Cooper and now it appears that we have recreated that same hole.
