JGMcD2 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Spencer Brown was absolute freaking steal with his $18M AAV. Dan Moore just got over $20M AVV, Jaylon Moore (who?) got $15M AVV from KC and the Pats had to give Morgan Moses 3 years at 34 years old. 5 3 1 Quote

Nothing but open woods. “Oh, there’s nowhere for me to run, what am I gonna do, say no?” 1 Quote

Did we go to the show? Do we have a SB trophy, or even a visit to the show in the years that we've had Josh balling out? If you've answered yes to any of those questions, please share whatever your smoking/drinking/snorting or injecting with the rest of us, cuz were gonna need it today. Beane is not signing anyone that we deemed good, he fishes for second/third tier guys and over pay them. 1 1 1 Quote

As infuriating as it is to see players I want going, I am having massive sticker shock compared to what Beane is locking up our pending FA for. They're always someone when the dust settles who is productive but isn't on a team for a variety of reasons: cut to make room for another player, on the backside of their career even though they're productive or overplay their hand on the market and take a prove it deal. I WANT the surer thing but if teams want to cap hell themselves in advance I really can't stop it. 1 1 Quote

Beane is not signing anyone that we deemed good, he fishes for second/third tier guys and over pay them. The first hour or two of free agency has historically been littered with teams way overpaying for guys that don’t live up to their contracts. You root for a team (at least I think you root for a team) that was one play away from going to the dance the last two years. You don’t just blow that up. I am sure Beane is busting his butt today, and has for the last couple weeks. But a lot of guys took less $$ to stay with their teams. There isn’t much that can be done about that. 1 1 Quote
