SCBills Posted yesterday at 05:42 PM Author Posted yesterday at 05:42 PM (edited) Josh Sweat Charvarius Ward Jevon Holland To me, those are 3 guys who would be game changers for us on Defense. Money for Holland seems too rich for us and Ward will likely get paid paid.. which I’d be fine with, but obviously Benford dependent for how the FO views him long term. Not a gamewrecker but gives us another Rousseau essentially, opposite Rousseau, with Oliver and allows us to keep draft capital to load up at DT. I said before… that DL starts looking like what the Eagles had last year. What side of the D does Sweat generally play? Quote

Go back and listen to Micah Hyde saying he went hard recruiting top tier guys to Buff and they told him the same thing. Now with the everyone eats thing, we will definitely not get a prime WR interested in getting paid similar money to play in warmer weather with less state taxes, as well as being featured every week. if this is true that we can't get players here due to the weather, than reasonable or not, if it's keeping people away, we should have built a dome. 1 1 Quote
Logic Posted yesterday at 05:43 PM Posted yesterday at 05:43 PM After being hyped up with all sorts of potential trade targets, big name guys, etc... ...in reality, this free agency class wound up being WEAK SAUCE, and there are a few teams with absolute PILES of money that the Bills wouldn't wanna try to outbid anyway. I expect the usual wave 2 and wave 3 bargain signings and role players, and onto the draft. 2 Quote

Garrett is 40M per year for one guy. Hendrickson will want in the 30’s. We should be completely fine paying, say, 45M for two guys in Rousseau/Sweat and keep all our draft picks. We do this every year, wind up with holes that aren't filled and then we lose to the Chiefs in the playoffs. When the hell are we going to go all in. Unfortunately this probably isn't the FA class to do that in. Big moves would have been trades this year and the one solid DT move I wanted to make re-signed with the Broncos. 1 Quote

That's the biggest reason, outside of the " there's nothing to fo in Buffalo " statement that even our current players state. Our only hope is an aging vet that wants to sniff a playoff game or 2 and possibly have the potential to go to a SB. But aren't we all tired of those signings? 2 Quote
