If I'm the Bills here, and the board falls this way, I either trade back into 2 and get a 3rd rounder (Bean loves those), or more likely, take one of the following at 30: --DT Collins, Edge Ezeiruaku, CB Porter, S. Starks--likely in that order. I'm fine with the 2nd round picks, but if we got Porter at 30, I'd grab a DT in the 2nd instead of the CB. 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted Friday at 03:44 PM Posted Friday at 03:44 PM Ezeiruaku or Starks if you are stuck there Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted Friday at 04:10 PM Posted Friday at 04:10 PM Sanders dropping to 29 with all the QB needy teams out there is laughable. I don't think he will be good, but some team will pounce if he's there much earlier than that. Overall this is a horrible mock. If it broke this way I would look to move up for Mike Green (taken at 28 lol) or back into the 2nd for extra picks.... 1 Quote
947 Posted Friday at 04:19 PM Posted Friday at 04:19 PM I think I'd have to take Luther Burden if he fell that far. 1 Quote
corta765 Posted Friday at 04:32 PM Posted Friday at 04:32 PM I would be more disappointed that DJ went for a 2nd and we didn't get him AND then instead went with another young unproven WR. 1 Quote

ProcessTruster Posted Friday at 05:59 PM Posted Friday at 05:59 PM use a few picks; trade up and get the 2-3 guys you really want. most of the other picks will be cut anyway. 2 Quote
BigAl2526 Posted Friday at 06:01 PM Posted Friday at 06:01 PM There is remarkably little consensus among draft pundits about player rankings in this year's draft after the top 10 or so. Most don't think Alexander is a first round value, but some do. In this mock, some players Buffalo could consider at #30 include Tre Harris WR, Darien Porter CB, Walter Nolen (another 3 tech DT), Donovan Ezeiruaku DE, Malachi Starks S and Nic Scourton. A trade down is a real option too simply because of the lack of consensus about the quality of individual players. Who knows what Beane's big board will look like compared with the players who are still available at #30. 2 Quote

I assume at this point our scouting department is keeping a 2nd set of books to track KC's needs so if there's anything we can do for them at draft time, Beane will be ready! Leave no stone unturned. 1 1 Quote

Tweener types usually don't transition to NFL game well Quote

ControllerOfPlanetX Posted Friday at 09:27 PM Posted Friday at 09:27 PM Sanders is not falling to 29…who comes up with this junk? Quote
OldTimer1960 Posted Friday at 09:53 PM Posted Friday at 09:53 PM I would not take the 6th year player who wasn’t even a starter in the MAC until last season- at least not in the 1st round. Pick 56 would be fine, but that’s too early in my unqualified opinion. I would have to have thought hard about Walter Nolan as long as speculation about character issues checked out ok. If Nolan’s character was a concern, I’d partake Nick Scourton there. Quote
nosejob Posted Friday at 10:25 PM Posted Friday at 10:25 PM (edited) I would not be mad with Porter. Former WR, super athletic, should be a day 1 starter. Then again, our Dline is the biggest need. Can we get Porter at 56? Somehow, someway, we need to manufacture at least 1 3rd rd. pick. We had more ways to do that last year, but sadly no balls....and not pick 99. We had an extra 2nd last year (25) to work with and could have easily figured out 2 3rd rd. picks. It was a sit on the hands draft and I sure as hell hope it doesn't happen again.
