If Beane doesn’t acquire Garrett or Metcalf, are you “so &*!%$ing done with this team?”

  1. 1. If Beane doesn’t acquire Garrett or Metcalf, are you “so &*!%$ing done with this team?”

    • Hell yes, Beane doesn’t understand what it takes to get over the hump

    • Hell no, Beane has a plan and won’t mortgage the future for a splash player

    • Still supportive but disappointed, because I feel like they need one more proven “difference-maker” and can’t just rely on the draft

People do realize that it takes 2 to tango right?  And maybe even 3 to dance between both of the teams trading as well as the player.  If Bills try and get DK and he doesn't want to sign an extension here as he doesn't want to be in the cold, that can kill a deal (see Antonio Brown).

So just because we don't land a certain player does not by any means we didn't try.  Not to mention, some teams, like say the Bengals, may not want to help one of the teams they are trying to passed by trading them the NFL leading sack leader the last 2 years.

Browns claim they aren't trading Myles, there are reported "tons of teams" trying to trade for DK...I mean so much goes into making a trade happen, to just get mad or assign blame if one doesn't happen its pointless.

But that being said...go get em Beane!

Beane making big money acquisitions makes me nervous.  Diggs was useful but I'm not sure he lived up to his contract.  Von certainly hasn't.

Obviously, a team needs elite playmakers.  But in a perfect world, we'd draft them instead of luring them here with outrageous sums of money that make it hard to address our other needs.

Personally, I don’t want anything to do with Metcalf but I’d love to see Garrett become a Bill. So 50/50 for me

Can I ask why on Metcalf? Seriously, I haven’t paid enough attention to attention to him to have an opinion.

Pretty sure we are better than this kind of foolishness.

"We're" not.

I have read multiple posts where people are fully on board with giving any price Cleveland asks for, even if it's multiple 1sts, to get Garrett and then pay him like $40MM a year or whatever he wants.

The Bills are in win now mode. JMHO but if the Browns trade him, I think it will be to the NFC. I doubt they want him in the conference and especially the division. But if Beane has a shot to make this work then he has to go for it.

Please. I was and fan long before Brandon Beane was hired and barring any unforseen circumstances, I'll be a fan long after he's gone.

Neither guy, by themselves, are the missing ingredient to a Super Bowl on this current roster.  Especially DK, who performs like a good #2 in today's league.

Most of us stuck by this team through the drought. Why would we bail now?

I suffered through 84 and 85 with the back-to-back 2-14 seasons. That was truly a miserable time to be a Bills fan.

It's crazy to think that the Bills/Beane aren't in on these players. They're definitely going to try. Whether or not they can come to a deal that both sides think is reasonable is an entirely other question.

Ultimately, the Bills are an incredibly successful team even without "that guy" besides JA17. As fans we probably focus more on the "win now" than Beane or McDermott has since 2020, because they've built an extremely stable franchise.

Do I want those superstar talents? Yeah of course.

Will I be done with the team? Never as long as they're in Buffalo.

Most of my in-person games came during that span because tickets were given away for free more often than not. My claim to fame is being at Kay Stevenson's final game as head coach. The stadium was 3/4 empty. There wasn't a lot of tailgating. We weren't even lovable losers, just losers.

Depressing times indeed. A "good" crowd back then was 50,000 - 60,000 and that was still 20,000 - 30,000 short of a sellout. Every home game blacked out in the local market.

No because I'm not a child. But I will still say he needs to find alternative ways / do a better job of adding more elite talent to the roster.

I think you fit in with the disappointed option then.  ?
