Our defensive lineman aren’t known as closers.  None of them.  You can play the kid like semantics game of you can play the reality game.  Our DL is a problem and they rarely come up big.

In 3 of the past 4 years,  the Bills have rolled into the playoffs with Defenses ranked 4th, 3rd, 1st in fewest point allowed over 17 games.

The front 4 or lack thereof has been the #1 problem during the Allen era. And to this day they still haven't addressed it. Failed FA acquisitions, Failed draft picks.

In 3 of the past 4 years,  the Bills have rolled into the playoffs with Defenses ranked 4th, 3rd, 1st in fewest point allowed over 17 games.

you are debating my comment-.  He’s a serviceable designated pass rusher that has had the knack for making big plays in big games.  Something none of our current pass rushers have ever done.  

 

You debate it with:  “Not one other current Bills pass rusher has ever made a big play in a big game?” No- our DL haven’t ever been known for that.  Everyone knows this.  It’s discussed all the time here.  You know this to be true.  But because I used the phrase “have ever done” rather than “have ever been”- you turn this into a different debate.  
 

Have fun arguing with your kids about how to hold a fork.

They have TRIED to address it.  

Drafting Ed Oliver, AJ Epenesa, Groot, Boogie Basham in the Top 2 rounds

Signing Trent Murphy, Von Miller, Leonard Floyd with decent contracts

 

The problem is, all the resources they have poured into the position have only kept us spinning our wheels once the postseason hits.  Zero production when it's needed the most.  The Chiefs biggest issue last year was the O-Line, and we couldn't take advantage at all.  A few years ago, the Bengals were totally decimated with injuries up-front.  But their blockers still totally stonewalled our pass rush.

Beane gave Rousseau 80 million to reward him for never coming up with a big play in a big game? Why not keep "big play Von" for another year and not extend Rousseau this year?  Your "debate" is with McBeane, not me.

It's not a great division true, but In 2021, NE won 10 games the the Bills 11. 2023 Bills and Miami won 11 (miami was #2 in scoring). Plus the 11 other teams they faced each year..
