Yes, and once they realize that's their NFL future, being on THIS team is where he would want to be - backing up the best on a team that is a threat to go deep into the playoffs for years. Quote
Albany,n.y. Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Take a look at what backups are getting: $6 million for Zach Wilson, $14 million for Daniel Jones. MITCH IS A BARGAIN! Quote
Cubanmist Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago At this point, while Beane will be trying to create flexibility with the salary cap, he should cut ties with any back up qb on the roster that may be costing too much. It’s cheaper to bring in some rookie and slowly groom him. 13 hours ago, Albany,n.y. said: Take a look at what backups are getting: $6 million for Zach Wilson, $14 million for Daniel Jones. MITCH IS A BARGAIN! The difference is that Mitch can’t throw well. Pittsburgh tried to give him a starting role and he failed. Even as a backup, he sucks! 1 Quote

Mitch isn't the answer! He certainly has the potential to be the guy for a series or two, and maybe for a game or two, even though I think that's highly unlikely! My confidence level in Trubisky on a scale of 1-10 is somewhere in the range between 1 and 1.5. Maybe if we had an absolute stable of studs at WR & TE to go along with Cook, I could entrust Mitch for a game or two, but even then, against any solid competition, I just have serious doubts. He showed zero capabilities in Pittsburgh during his short stint there. Are there any FA QB's out there that will help ease the anxiety of this organization? As it stands right now, If Josh Allen goes down all the Myles Garretts and Joey Bosa's of the world aren't going to help. I want that 3rd string qb on the pats. he played lights out in the preseason last year against us( i know, preseason). he could be a josh like qb in waiting. got legs and a strong arm! Quote
Luka Posted 7 minutes ago Posted 7 minutes ago I said it in the mock draft thread and I will say it here. Kurtis Rourke - QB - Indiana. We now have 3 5th round picks and he should be there. 6 years in college means he's a seasoned QB and with a guy like Allen in front of him and Brady in booth, there's a lot he could learn. Plus he's a Canadian kid from Ontario! What's not to like? Quote
