I think everyone's greatest fear every snap of every game is what happens if something happens to #17!

Mitch isn't the answer!  He certainly has the potential to be the guy for a series or two, and maybe for a game or two, even though I think that's highly unlikely!

My confidence level in Trubisky on a scale of 1-10 is somewhere in the range between 1 and 1.5.  Maybe if we had an absolute stable of studs at WR & TE to go along with Cook, I could entrust Mitch for a game or two, but even then, against any solid competition, I just have serious doubts. He showed zero capabilities in Pittsburgh during his short stint there.

Are there any FA QB's out there that will help ease the anxiety of this organization?

As it stands right now, If Josh Allen goes down all the Myles Garretts and Joey Bosa's of the world aren't going to help.

To be honest, I don't think Beane seems to place a lot of value into the Backup QB's. I wouldn't mind a Minshew or backup of higher quality, but it always seems like they'd rather use that money or draft capital elsewhere rather than a higher rated backup or developmental QB in the draft. I wouldn't be surprised if they keep Mike White and cut Trubisky after 6/1.

Minshew got released. Always thought he'd be a good spot starter/ back up.

Except he was basically that last year and couldn't hold off Aiden O'Connell.

Trubisky isn't great by any means. If we needed him to play 4 games, I think Brady can shift a gameplan around enough to feature the run game and some of what Mitch does do well to cobble together 2-2 over that span.

Anything more than 4 games without Allen is likely to be a lost year anyway. The last think I want is some guy that can help us get to like 8-9 and a game short of the playoffs. If (and please football Gods don't let this happen) we were to be without Josh for an extended period of time, I want the best draft pick out of a lost season as possible to grab an Elite WR talent or DL.

People are going to start having ideas on a regular basis if we keep up with these sort of threads…,

I'd rather see us draft a Josh Allen prototype QB. Not a big name but someone with some raw skill that we can stash on the PS for a couple years to develop.

I always view backup QB as, “if Josh went out for a month, what would the record be?” As a rule, I think 2-2 needs to be the answer. If Mitch can do that, good by me. Kyle Allen wasn’t hat guy IMO.

If Josh gets hurt the season is over. Doesn’t matter who the backup is in my opinion. You are better off bottoming out and getting a top 5 pick to play with a returning Josh.

If Josh goes down, the Bills are f-ed no matter who the back up is.

King Ghidorah can be the backup and it still wouldn’t matter, the Bills are screwed if Josh goes down.

Trubisky is about as close to Allen as you are going to get at backup. Big, strong, athletic.  He's had enough success in this league I think he can win 2 out of 4 games

It’s worthwhile to hear what the “company men” in the media say about such things. Listening to Tasker, it’s not the way the Bills are going to do business. They want backups that get along well with Allen and can help him prepare for games. I think it’s worthwhile to draft and develop a later round backup. The Bills aren’t going to do that anytime soon. It is what it is.

Mike White is horrible. Dude is tough as nails but he got cut in Miami for Skylar Thompson, who was so bad he got cut for Tyler Huntley, who was so bad, he got cut for Dorian Thompson Robinson, who was so bad Jameis Winston had to start over him in Cleveland
