Don't get me wrong I'd be happy with trading for Hendrickson if Metcalf falls through. Sounds like a 2nd would get it done. What I like about Hendrickson is he's a complete ####### of a player. I hate playing against him because he plays dirty. And we need some of that nastiness on the roster. But ultimately Cincy will have multiple options and since they control the destination I have to think they'll ship him out of conference if at all possible. Washington makes a lot of sense.

I know man they definitely will try and get him outside the conference. But man I think he would compliment Rousseau really well. Inject some of that meaness into him would be just what the Dr ordered.

He is still under contract for next year. Mike Brown will ignore any and all trade demands and make players play out their contracts. Diggs would have played for the Bills if Mike Brown was the owner. There is nothing that a player can say or do to force his way out of Cincinnati. He doesn't extend until he absolutely has to and doesn't give huge signing bonuses. Hence the Chase situation. He's also going to make Higgins play on the tag for the second straight year. He's very much an old school owner who treats his players like labor to be exploited. Yes, he broke all these rules for Burrow but that was very much an exception and not a change in management philosophy.

I dont agree about the dirty part.  Dawkins said be is one of the toughest to go against and spoke highly of him.  I think he would give him that praise if he was dirty.

Brown gave him permission already.

Sorry, I didn't read the tweet. That is really shocking. He's the only difference maker that they have on defense. They are really willing to just let Joe Burrow run the team.

I can't imagine Cincinnati as a competently run franchise.

Almost won the Super Bowl. It’s easy to punch down on them but they’ve been good despite their past decision making.

They are cutting money to pay Chase imo.  Chase is Burrows best friend and a must get done.  Higgins I doubt.

Yes, and they have just tried to run it back every year.  With weaker versions of themselves each season getting worst.

Here's Banged Up Bills' injury analysis on him:

There is a somewhat concerning history of neck injuries. The article compares it to Micah Hyde. If you trade for him you're probably expecting just 2-3 good years of production so it wouldn't scare me away too much if our medical staff's evaluation checked out.

The pass rusher we want is out there. Whether it’s Trey Hendickerson, Myles Garrett, Bosa, even Khalil Mack. Beane gotta pull the trigger on somebody

Mack, Garrett, Miller (on a big paycut), and Rousseau would be a pretty nifty DE room.

A lot more inspiring than giving Toohill meaningful snaps.

Yup, they did, and their owner has been terrible the entire time.

Now we have Garrett, Hendrickson and DK available

Beane HAS to bring in one of these guys or we can likely just expect the same .

We need an elite difference maker

All of these guy are expecting insane money, all are on the downside of their prime, and all will cost significant assets to get. Beane would essentially be betting his job that we win the SB within two years by pulling off a move like that. I don't think he's willing to do it.

And if they don't win the SB in the next two years you're staring at the reality of an over 30 QB at the start of the inevitable decline.

Win now.

Assuming Cinncy GM would rather get a massage from a live cobra than trade him within his division or to another AFC contender

They have Burrow, Chase, Tee Higgins and Trey and missed the playoffs.

Imagine if Sean McDermott missed the playoffs with the current roster, much less with all those stars

30 years old already, nope, nope and nope. Garrett won't be 30 until end of the year and is another level above Trey. Metcalf is already saying he wants warm weather, so that's not happening. I am starting to think the best way to go is adding a cornerback in FA, along with a safety. They can go DT and DE in the draft and keep all their picks. Kirk is most likely the target for WR.
