I assume your joking?  Even if Cincy is entertaining a Bills offer the right to pay 30+million for a 31 year old pass rusher means one late 2nd round pick is the absolute max offer Beane should even consider and that is rich. If we see a trade I am guessing it'll be for 2 3's or 3&4th. The demand just isn't there and teams are scoffing at what Cinci initially asked.

Ha, for some reason I thought he was mid/late 20s. That said, he's not 31 either. He just turned 30 and will be 30 for almost all of this upcoming season. Splitting hairs, but each year does make a difference.

 

I'm still willing to give one 1st rd pick and a player.

 

We pick so late, we're never finding anyone at that level anyways.

IMO, Grant or Collins could be kind of like Dexter Lawrence.  That would REALLY help our defense immediately

I dont disagree on those players, but I dont think they'll be available when we pick.

 

This class reminds me of 2022 where all the "1st round grades" will go before us and we're stuck panic picking to fill a need.

 

This new winning culture of the Bills has really killed the draft fun for me But I'm not complaining.

Beane has shown in the past he will trade up to get a player he wants. If I remember correctly didn't, he do that with Edmunds.

We have no 3rd rd pick. We do have a plethora of 4, 5 and 6th round picks.

Edmunds and Kincaid. Although Im not sure what that says about is trade-up track record, haha

 

But we also got jumped in 2022 when the 1st round talent ran out and panic picked Elam...

I would trade 2 1sts for him. Easily. It’s not like Beane would pick better players than Hendrickson. I don’t care about his age. 17.5 sacks is about 10 more than Rousseau. What I’d be most worried about is his contract numbers. If possible, I would give him 3 years with 3 void years.

That's why I got the vibe we need to use a lot of mid and late round picks maybe even from the 2026 draft to move up with all of our first three picks to ensure we get true value at positions of need.

 I think I trust Beane more to hit on those mid round picks than whoever he would move up for in the 1st 🙈

Pretty sure no one has offered even one first round pick yet for Hendrickson…too old, too much money.

All of us arm chair GMs severely underestimate the value of draft picks in recent years, especially 1st round.

 

Can someone tell me WHEN is the last time a team traded away a first round pick for a non QB, or even for a QB?

 

Answer: 5 years ago.

 

The reason is simple: with the trend of salary escalation for star players, 1st round pick, even day two picks, are valued as almost important for starters in an NFL team.
