Magox Posted March 3 Posted March 3 He was still somewhat effective this past year and he wouldn't cost much. He could be an effective stop gap solution. I think he could be had for around $7M 3 3 Quote
billsbackto81 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 A little leary about bringing in a guy at the end of his career that just won a ring. Looking for one more payday and you have no idea where his motivation is. Jmo... 1 1 1 1 2 Quote

Warriorspikes51 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) Would sign him to start opposite Benford. Let Rasul walk sign another depth veteran CB, Ingram and a draft pick a top tier player who beat KC head to head in the SB deserves a long look at the very least Edited March 3 by Warriorspikes51 4 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I imagine he goes back to Detroit or stays in NFC....but honestly this would be a pretty awesome addition. One thing is certain: we need elite players that make a difference in playoffs Slay is that. Clearly. 4 Quote

To believe this would be to believe that this will be the year to where he finally decides to half ass it and not only that, but he would most likely be half assing it at half the price he's been playing for the last few years. Highly unlikely 2 1 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Can he be signed now, when UFA starts or post June 1? This is the type of move where we could add a few void years to lower the cap hit Quote

Dillenger4 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I agree with above. Opposite Benford - D Slay is better that Rasul Douglas. Keep grooming Ingram and we have a pretty good CB room. I'm all for this and it allows us to still focus on Garret/Crosby. Then just go get Holand at safety and boom - our D is transformed. 1 3 Quote

Holland - Rapp/Bishop Benford - Slay Suddenly the secondary is much more solid. Although I expect Holland lands elsewhere. 1 Quote
