Round where i live, when you use your bank debit card, it automatically includes a tip on whatever purchase you make. You have to specifically punch in "no tip" into the keypad and if you're not paying attention, you'll get burned. Some days they would do like $1,800 worth of work, and when you go to pay it gives you options to tip at 15%, 18%, 20% or 22%. I’m sorry, this is turning into real money, I’ll pass. Quote

I dropped to the floor in tears and the dude just walked away, no remorse, no care in the world, nothing. ..............many would say that i just don't like people and they would be right. Well, were you hobbling in the center aisle like an abandoned shopping cart? Serves you right! 1 Quote

You mean the people who when driving down a residential road will give a bigger buffer to the parked car on the curb than the do to the oncoming car in the opposite lane? It's the same people, I'm sure. Quote

The aisleway is for everyone's use, not just some selfish people who think the world owes them something and feel no remorse in wasting other people's time. You see, i don't have the time to hang out behind a shopping cart waiting for people to decide whether they want Rice-a-Roni or Mac and Cheese for supper tonight..........my time is valuable to me. But what if its a menstrual woman....? Do you dare risk it? Quote

BritBill Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago If I go to a shop and the tills for the small number of items has a sign stating "10 items or less" and not "10 items or fewer" I put my basket down and pledge never to return. Quote

IslandBillsFan Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Here are some of my "policies": 1) If not offered, I alway ask the waiter or waitresses name. I feel calling them by name is more friendly than sir or maam. It also helps if I go back and can call them by name. I think it leads to better service. 2) I always prebus the table (stack used plates napkins etc.). Part of this is to help the server and part of this is me being anal and liking a clean table. 3) I never look at my phone while seated at a restaurant. I do my best to be present and enjoy the company I am with. 4) At grocery stores, I avoid self checkouts as much as possible. Even though they may be quicker, I find them a pain when something gets mis-scanned or they need to check my ID. 5) In parking lots, I generally take the first spot I see even if far away. I figure the time it takes to go up and down the rows just to be a little closer isn't worth the time. Quote

I figure the time it takes to go up and down the rows just to be a little closer isn't worth the time. I take the first spot on purpose, and about as far away from the store as I can get. I get extra steps and someone more needy can have the closer spots. My dear wife, however, will drive around and scan the parking lot for the optimal spot. It drives me crazy, but I stop myself from saying “I could be in the store already.” I’m no fool! (But I’m thinking it 😊.) There is a guy who works the checkout at my wine store who has a slight limp. I’m not sure how he works in a wine shop and drives this beautiful newer Mercedes convertible, but that’s another topic. He has handicap plates and he parks in the handicap spot and leaves his car there all day. He’s there early and could park in the spot next to that so a true handicap spot would be available when things get crowded and somebody really needs it. You have to look to see that he has a slight limp, sometimes. I should be able to let things like that go, but part of me gets very irritated by stuff like that. I wonder if he does it just to protect his precious car with some extra space??? That’s not right. Quote
