What this translates to for me is a year where second tier WRs like Brown and Slayton are signed to larger than deserved contracts. When it comes to WR contracts next week once we see numbers of guys signed I think a lot of popular sentiment will be "dang, really wanted him but not at that price". 

I don't think Slayton will get over paid. A Gabe Davis type deal, yeah, but we can do that and with upfront money and incentives, we could get him. Done

I definitely think Slayton is in the "about to be overpaid" lost. Rumblings of quite a few teams in on him should drive up his price. I'd say the Gabe Davis deal is his absolute floor with potential to hit Christian Kirk money possible. We shall see

I say run it back with receivers from last season. Draft Don'te Thornton to open up the field vertically and horizontally. This guy is a natural football catcher with 9 5/8" hands and speed to burn.

I get it.  I don't understand pounding the table for him is all.  A fairly large group of guys would need to be gone before im going with him at 30.
