Mid level guys.  Id look at Palmer and Atwell as young guys who fit a role that is lacking.  Atwell more speed and Palmer better all around.  I also would offer Godwin a 1 year deal heavy incentivized.  Production and team performance.  Might be able to get him on a show you still got it while winning type deal.  Plus get another shot at a big pay day in 26 if healthy.  Even if it takes him til October/November to be back its worth the gamble.  Great player.  I think a perfect match with Shakir.  Both can play anywhere.

Peep Christian Kirk getting an invite to Josh’s bachelor party… interesting

Josh and Christian Kirk seem to be together every offseason. I don’t know how they are connected but I agree with you that this is one to keep an eye on.

Bills top 5 WR for 2025

1. Hollywood - Haven't you heard that Josh wants to throw to Hollywood ?

2. Shakir - Catches everything, great RAC Receiver

3. Coleman - He'll improve this year even if it's baby steps

4. Hollins - Infectious personality, great in the locker room, on the sidelines and on the field, I'd re-sign him.

5. Samuel - He's a good Receiver if he can stay healthy.

It's likely they have a 6th WR on the roster and a day 2 or 3 WR is on the radar to compete with Shavers and any other FAs they end up signing.

I, personally, don't want anyone with Antonio's DNA😎

Same draft class with Kyle Allen and Darnold...I am guessing they were all working out together going into that and still get together for training in the off-season. Just a guess and speculation on my part.

Hmm. Without uniforms, I don’t recognize many. Left to right I see Darnold,  ? , Kirk, Allen, and the rest I don’t know. Anyone can fill in the names?

I put this in the Adams thing, but I'll put it here...just some ideas for bargain bin pickups...

Elijah Moore-super fast and small. Had a mini breakout this year. Probably gives you what Hollywood Brown does for a fraction of the cost. He also has return ability and hates the Jets. He’s also somehow just 24. While he did get some slot time, the Browns played high outside a lot. I think he'd be an interesting add for this offense.

Josh Palmer is a like a younger Darius Slayton. Not as productive so far but has the size and some speed to make a difference and should be much cheaper than Slayton. Even though he isn’t the fastest guy, he makes plays down the field.

KJ Osborn lost his way over the past year, but he was an effective player in Minnesota and really struggled last year. He should be dirt cheap looking for a bounce back. Good speed meh size.

A sneaky add could be a guy like Jalin Hyatt, deep threat right? Hasn't really fit with the Giants at this point. Perhaps a change of scenery/playing with a real quarterback could do him some good. A trade here could make sense.

Assuming they bring back Hollins, but if they don't former Chief Justin Watson brings a lot of the same things to the table as a WR4 and special teams guy. He just doesn't have the fun, quirky personality.

These are really marginal upgrades. I think there is a chance they bring back Amari Cooper at a price that makes sense for both parties. We really didn't see true Amari Cooper this year as he is a much better player than the version we saw.

Outside of that, I could see Cooper Kupp added. I mentioned this elsewhere, but they allegedly pursued him at the deadline, and that tells me they think he can co-exist with Shakir in the offense. I think he may get released.

Christian Kirk may get released, as well as Tyler Lockett and those guys make some sense on some level.

I can say this with confidence, they will not add a diva. Been there done that. Adams and Metcalf are divas. Hollywood Brown has some diva in him and Antonio Brown is his cousin. Buyer beware on those guys. The Bills best bet for adding a pseudo #1 IMO is Amari Cooper or Cooper Kupp.

This is NOT the year to look to FA for a WR. With Higgins tagged and Godwin likely headed back to Tampa, it leaves the top of the WR free agent market rather thin. The draft isn't as deep or talented as it has been in recent years. And there are a LOT of WR needy teams. Supply is low and demand is high.

What this translates to for me is a year where second tier WRs like Brown and Slayton are signed to larger than deserved contracts. When it comes to WR contracts next week once we see numbers of guys signed I think a lot of popular sentiment will be "dang, really wanted him but not at that price".

I was shocked by Atwells highlight reel. He plays way bigger than he is, super fast, elusive, and tough as nails. I'd sign an outside receiver who can beat man coverage and Atwell all day. He's like Worthy tbh.

Another slot receiver? Nah, B.

Agreed. Need a boundary guy.

I disagree.  The Bills need another good WR - really have just  one now - Shakir.  If Shakir goes down our WR room looks beyond pathetic.

The Atwells of the world are the 2025 version of Claypool or MVS.

C Kupp or C Kirk are veteran, previously proven, legitimate options that defenses cannot ignore.  It would be a move to add a second good WR to the team.  While not ideal, in that they aren't the boundary or speed types, they are good.  Options are limited this year, and if you can't get DK or D Adams and fill the WR with just a role in mind - ie speed, our depth behind Shakir remains razor thin.

I feel you. I think we need two honestly. A vet/proven WR who can beat man, and somebody with ludicrous speed/upside/youth (see Atwell).

First person to get that reference wins a high five.

I don't see a fit for Kirk, he's primarily a Slot. Even after he signed the big contract in Jacksonville, he wasn't on the field for 2WR sets- while Zay Jones stayed in. Shakir & Samuel have the slot covered, we need a guy who can win on the outside. Maybe that could be Kirk, but I'd be skeptical.

We need more guys that can play with some fire. Guys that step up and make plays.

What we we need is a Mawg. Half man, half dawg.

His frame limits him and his usage.  I would go north of 5 mil per for him.  Alot of middle rd guys can offer a similar role.

One WR1 on that list. Diggs. And he wasn’t a WR1 anymore by the time he left.

One wide receiver who could be a WR1 in any NFL team.

In seven years.

Beane has done some great things.

Addressing the WR position has certainly not been one of them.

@SoTier … what has Beane done with regard to the WR1 position during the Allen era that satisfies you?

Yes here is the breakdown of targets. I’m sure on most other college team he’s primarily on the perimeter

That doesn't sound like a first rd Wr.  How is he different then a host of other day 2 day 3 type?  Solid pro.  Wont be elite or has wr 1 potential.

what are we going to do? imo....drafting wr in 1st round is an admission we screwed up with coleman pick. should have taken ladd. ladd and shakir would have been dynamic. so we have mack...multidimensional guy. i like him. samuels...meh, but kind of stuck with him.  cooooop....great locker room guy. i am confused on where we go from here.

This board is clearly obsessed with slot WR. Golden would be an outside threat alongside Coleman with Shakir in the slot. I’m assuming you mean Golden since those are most likely the only 2 first rounders I see unless I’m forgetting someone?

I think he and Shakir could be interchangeable at slot and Z.  One in the slot other the Z.  Both can play either.  Wouldnt be my first choice but would a priority if a big move is not to be made.
