what are we going to do? imo....drafting wr in 1st round is an admission we screwed up with coleman pick. should have taken ladd. ladd and shakir would have been dynamic. so we have mack...multidimensional guy. i like him. samuels...meh, but kind of stuck with him.  cooooop....great locker room guy. i am confused on where we go from here.

OMG.  Taking WR round 1 this year is not an admission about anything related to Coleman.  Shakir and McConkey play the same position.  And so on…

When the Bengals took Ja Marr Chase, was that an admission they screwed up with the Tee Higgins pick?

If we let Hollins walk ...not really.

Also- i think it's more about us admitting we made mistakes on a few moves, such as Samuel or Cooper.

I strongly doubt the team has written off Coleman.

So was taking Coleman an admission they screwed up the Kincaid pick?

Ladd has a great rookie year. Why? He was the best WR in a WR room that lacked talent. He has 112 targets as a rookie. That will produce stats. Would he have gotten those same targets here? Mind you Allen only attempted 483 passes so that would have had to have been an almost 25% target share. And Ladd would have probably split snaps with Shakir.

Had we drafted Ladd I think people would have been severely disappointed with his output on the fat lower targets he would have likely ended up with here.

If people are waiting for the Bills to select a WR in the first round, I'm afraid that they will be disappointed.  The defense is in major need of talent.  With holes at DT, DE, CB, and Safety; the first three picks will likely be used there.  If Beane can fill a couple of these holes with a FA, then a day two value pick for a WR may happen.

I am guessing that WR won't be close to BPA in either the first round or at either of the Bills' 2nd round picks.  I am thinking that they'll have better options at those picks at DT, DE and CB or S.  Since they don't have a 3rd round pick, my guess is round 4 will be the earliest they might reach for a WR.

I know that the team needs reinforcements at WR and I am aware that many fans want them to take one early, but this doesn't seem to be the year to take one in this class.  I don't see a WR that I expect to make it to the end of round 2 that would be all that interesting - if you do I am open to hearing who you like that may be there at 56 or 62.  Note, I am assuming that Mathew Golden will be picked before 30.  I thought that he would be gone ahead of 30 anyway, but I think his 4.3 40 solidified that.

Let's see how FA plays out, but the defense needs a lot of help. I would be surprised if they don't DL in Rd 1 this draft.

Sounds too like at 30 a better chance at getting a much better DT and edge too.

Josh is 28 and in his prime, coming off MVP season.  Why on earth would we want to get a vertical WR who can separate?

There was that one time when Beane got Diggs.  🤷‍♂️

And before that Beasley and John Brown. Toss in Emmanuel Sanders was added after Diggs. But yeah we don't put talent around Allen.

One WR1 on that list. Diggs. And he wasn’t a WR1 anymore by the time he left.

One wide receiver who could be a WR1 in any NFL team.

In seven years.

Beane has done some great things.

Addressing the WR position has certainly not been one of them.
