Roundybout Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) The guy is everywhere. He’s constantly in major media repping the Bills. This will be his eighth year as a starter and hes clearly in the upper echelon of NFL players. I assume that Terry will reboot the Wall of Fame with the new stadium. Does Dawkins make the WOF? Wizard Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Good player and fun personality. I think there are others as equally if not more deserving from past teams. However, at least as of right now, he is the likely the 2nd most likely that were drafted by Bills in the Allen era to make the WOF. Quote

Think most of us can agree that if Dawkins retired tomorrow, he would NOT make the WALL. But will his career end up justifying the honor? What would have to happen? Quote
schoolhouserock Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago One Super Bowl win and he becomes an integral part of the legend. Quote
GunnerBill Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago To me, yes he is. Obviously Kyle Williams first. Then Dion. I've argued before there is a case for Hyde and Poyer too... I'd put them on as a duo. 7 1 1 Quote
Doc Brown Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago There's a backlog in my opinion of guys who need to get in first. Ruben Brown, Moulds, Butch Byrd, Kyle Williams, and Aaron Schobel. If they let Hansen (no pro bowls) in then those guys should get in too. Cornelius Bennett is more controversial and maybe we can just swap him with OJ when going to the new stadium and nobody will notice. Quote
ChronicAndKnuckles Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago People don’t understand how great it is having the LT position nailed down year in & year out for your franchise QB. Josh Allen was the least sacked last year for a reason (I don’t want to hear how he does it all by himself, that is ridiculous.) Does he deserve the wall? Yes, if he plays at a high level for the next 5 years and is part of a championship team. Dawkins is easily the most under respected player on the Bills by fans. Durable, athletic, can play run or pass, and a total stalwart on the left side. I remember all the bozos saying he was out of shape a couple years back and then he had a Pro Bowl season. You don’t hear from those same fans anymore. You know who you are 😉 4 1 Quote

Give him Josh Allen and he quite possibly could’ve been a top 5 WR of all time. Shoot, give him Ryan Fitzpatrick. The cast of QBs Moulds played with was horrific. Among the worse I’ve ever seen. The ultimate “what if” player. Not that he didn’t have a great statistical career. He was 5 yards short of 10k. 2 Quote

I get it, weight control isn't easy for these massive guys but when Dion has had his struggles here and there it has generally been linked to being a bit heavier and affecting his footspeed. Quote

Josh Allen has had bad stretches as well. A lot of great players have slumps. How do you know for a fact it has been his weight? Sometimes it has to do with injuries or bad matchups & game planning. Dawkins never struck me as a lazy person. He’s been the most consistent player on this team since he came here. It’s not easy to get a LT of Dawkin’s caliber especially in the late 2nd round. The FO absolutely nailed that pick and we can thank them for possibly extending Allen’s career by keeping him upright. Quote

Yea sorry - none of these guys mentioned above are wall of fame dion was more interested in chicken wing eating before Cincy playoff game and getting it on social media. He had a BAD game. Bills got trucked then he gets rag dolled into Allen on 3rd down pass to Shakir at home vs chiefs overall he’s a great player. Not good. Not elite. Great. Glad we have him. 1 Quote

But that doesn't mean he hasn't had issues here and there controlling his weight. Both things can be true. I said right at the top of the thread he is a stonewall WoFer for me. Quote

Think his level of play and community involvement warrants inclusion, just needs a few more years of playing. My vote would be if he plays out this full contract and if he were to leave on good terms, he'd make it further down the road. Quote
uticaclub Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago He needs to start for a few more years. I think if hes a 10+ year starter, he has to go up. Quote
