Smith was a 2nd Round Pick in 2015 and has recorded 70.5 sacks throughout his career. He had 25.5 sacks from 2021-2023 before being traded from Green Bay to Pittsburgh at the deadline last season. 2 Quote
OldTimer1960 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Well, they need someone as depth at end. Near the end of his career - does he have anything left? Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) Availability is his best quality. Would be a good 3rd edge player. Edited March 1 by Buffalo_Stampede 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted March 1 Posted March 1 If the rumor is we want Smith...we will not be signing Smith. 6 1 Quote

Reports like this are usually overblown agent driven "tips" to help create a market. 1 Quote

thenorthremembers Posted March 1 Posted March 1 They should have been interested in him in 2019 when he originally hit free agency. Now he is 32 and at the end of his career. 1 Quote

It’s just saying we’re interested. Doesn’t guarantee anything. I think they will sign a veteran pass rusher as depth while also trying to upgrade starters. He does make sense. 1 1 Quote

I think if a National Reporter puts their name to a player and the Bills, it's worth mentioning. Random joe schmo's on Twitter, absolutely not. But reporters from ESPN (like with Hollywood Brown) or Sportskeeda from the Combine when teams and agents are talking, sure. Does it mean anything? Maybe not. But it's worth looking into the player and their possible fit. These types of reporting don't happen "daily". Brown and Smith are the only names i've seen thus far linked to the Bills by a National Reporter. Edited March 1 by BillsFanForever19 1 Quote

A lot of the fanbase likes this as they know each season they have a chance. 1 1 Quote

But yes, Smoot was a decent signing. Just has health issues. 2 Quote
