Drafting DK was the obvious move, especially in round two.

But I'd be leery of a massive investment in him now.  Strikes me as the type of body that will start to breakdown early, David Boston-esque.

He has been semi like Gabe Davis with a lot of games with like 3 receptions for 30 yards interspersed between big games.

Still, I would make a bid for him.  He can be a difference maker with Josh.

I’m drafting DK in the first round of all fantasy league with JA in the second if our wish comes true.

Yeah...wouldn't advise that lol unless you want to waste your first round pick.  While a good get he would be for us, that doesn't mean it translates to fantasy dominance either.  I mean he isn't going to explode in terms of fantasy numbers with Allen.  Not in this offense, and that is not Allens strong suit either.

That’s a lot but not out of the question for a player of his caliber.

They are having a laugh! Hard no on both the picks and the cash

Agree, if Kincaid gets the deal done, do it.  But, I am doubtful they would want Kincaid, they already have Fant who they don't utilize as much as they should. So I am skeptical a 2nd TE is going to move the needle much over better draft comp or other offers for them even if they feel Kincaid is a better receiving threat.

Also, if the Packers really are going to offer their 1st and a young WR as had been rumored for a week or so, I am skeptical we would put out an offer that could best that offer IMHO.

I think the Packers off was a 2nd plus Romeo Doubs. I'm not sold that constitutes an unbeatable offer.

The Seahawks can ***** off for that price

my thoughts exactly.

he's a potentially killer weapon, but not a consistent or every route kind of guy, and def not at that price.

They were saying a first earlier in this thread plus Doubs or Wicks...that is the offer I was saying I doubt we would be able to best if that turned into a real offer.

If its a 2nd and Doubs we can be more competitive and get in the mix.

I think that money is what would prevent the bills from making a trade like that. DK isn’t worth 30 mill per

The scouts usually do the end of the draft and the coach and GM do the top. One has been a lot better than the other.

Pure conjecture on your part.

Ha!

Objectively speaking he is barely a top  20 WR.  He’s a middle to bottom tier #1 WR, he’s not even the #1 on his own team, he was supplanted this past year.  He’s essentially a go and post route specialist with a limited route tree.

Not only does the AAV he’s asking for out of whack for his production value he offers but the trade value is preposterous.

No more than a low 2nd rounder and $25m AAV is more in line from a value perspective

You start high on your asking price.. Thats basic negotiating

But I agree DK is not worth that picks or salary.

You’re absolutely correct, it is a starting point, but we aren’t even in the same ballpark.

How about a 3rd and Samuel.  Throw in Elam for good measure.

Even then you're saddled with a second huge contract on offense, limiting what you can do on defense.

Allen is a monster on offense, lifting the entire platform all by himself like Atlas. He doesn't need another superstar to win games, as we saw last season. He just needs a defense that can do its part, or at least not go belly up every week. No, Beane needs to throw pretty much every last resource into defense to make up for his meh draft record and McDermott's meh coaching. With ten picks and plenty of cash, maybe he'll hit somewhere, like the proverbial blind man.

Fun to dream about a Metcalf-type bombshell, but the result would be like one of those weight lifters with a huge upper body and stick legs.

I think you may have missed the earlier tweet where it was rumored to be a 3rd.  This seems to be the other side.

The Bills should be heavily involved for DK.  He has the speed, and is a boundary WR, that the Bills need.  He offers size.  Has a great attitude.  Has not been a target hog so should be able to handle games where the ball goes elsewhere.  Getting him now gives Josh 3-4 years continuity with a WR - which is better than the revolving veteran thing.

Do it Beane!
