H2o Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago We as fans get our hopes up every year if "big names" come up on the trade block or start circulating like they could be. We don't make these types of moves. Garrett, Metcalf, neither of them are going to happen. 1 Quote

For all of his potential, he underperforms, in my opinion. He should be a consistent 1200-1500 yard 10 TD guy. DK has Megatron's build, but prime Tyler Lockett production. How much of that has to do with QB play, I'm not sure. Quote
Mister Defense Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago This has been a great day for the Bills and their fans. In a blink of an eye, the football gods have filled two of our most important needs, cornerback and wide receiver, and with two superb players. With Jaire Alexander we have our shut down cornerback, and with Metcalf our #1 wideout, the kind of big fast talented player we have dreamed about. (He was the player I wanted in the draft, the year, I think, we took Oliver.) Josh is just going to have to accept a lot less money now. No problem. Last summer when Jordan Palmer asked him how many Super Bowls the Bills would win under him Josh said 8. Time to get started. We can offer them a slew of players for these two, starting with Von Miller, Hamlin, Jordan Phillips, Daquon Jones... etctera And now we just focus on building a great D-Line. Thank you football gods for this amazing gift. Quote
Chicken Boo Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I'd rather have 24 year old Romeo Doubs. Especially when you factor in DK's contract. His production doesn't warrant anything close to $25M-$30M per year. 1 Quote
ChronicAndKnuckles Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago At this point, I am entertaining any elite talent at pretty much any position if I am Beane barring RB and LB. 38 minutes ago, H2o said: We as fans get our hopes up every year if "big names" come up on the trade block or start circulating like they could be. Can’t keep hoping draft picks are going to develop and they don’t. Also Stefon Diggs was a huge trade at the time. 1 Quote
BuffaloRebound Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago 1st rounder seems kind of steep for Metcalf. He relies on his straight line speed and he’s getting near the point in his career where he might lose a step. Quote

Nihilarian Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I don't know about the rest of the Bills fans...But I absolutely reveled in this past Super Bowl while watching Patrick Mahomes return to earth as an elite QB in getting his A$$ beat by that Eagles defense all...game...long! Made my year!! Defense wins Championships! It wasn't just the Eagles D line as the DBs jammed the Chiefs WRs at the line and played press man. Patty boy had nowhere to go with the ball and suffered for it 34-6 until the Eagles defense took their foot off the gas, thus giving the Chiefs garbage points. Just beautiful and loved watching that game. IF ONLY the Buffalo Bills had a defense as good! 1 1 Quote

I like him but he comes off like a diva WR toss in he only has one year left on his contract and not sure we could re-sign him. Too bad there's this thing called the salary cap. Considering we gave up a 3rd for a half year of Amari, I wonder Green Bay would consider a 4th rounder for Doubs? Assuming they'd get rid of him at any cost. Then get some kind of comp pick if he cannot be retained. You also have to believe that the locker room can withstand any of his antics. All i do know is that we can't run it back with the WR guys we had last year. We have Shakir and virtually nothing else at WR. Hollins had a great year but he will be 32 this season. Keon and Samuel are under performing and/or injured. Quote
Thrivefourfive Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago So we get Metcalf and trade him and other things for Garrett Quote

I expect some big splash in the form of a trade rather than in free agency. Quote
LABILLBACKER Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 10 hours ago, Mikie2times said: I have serious concerns Brady doesn't know how to use a true #1. If he does, I wonder how much more + the offense can be? Certainly they can get much better with a resource like Metcalf, but they already were near league high's in multiple categories. How many historic offensive teams tend to win it all? Maybe the Rams long ago? Some degree of balance seems to part of the formula. We really need a better defense. It was the worst iteration of any of the playoff teams we had and was almost completely dependent on turnovers to make it work (I think they were ranked in the 30's in EPA excluding turnovers). It was dreadful. Obviously I have concerns over if a defensive investment can pay off given my less than stellar feelings on McD, but with that said, I know to a certainty it won't work if he doesn't have more horses. Where I know Allen and company will still be a threat any game to drop 30 on a defense even with who we have now. No perfect answer to this, but that's my feelings at the moment. In 2019 Joe Brady won the Broyles award for being the best college assistant coach ( wide receivers ) in the nation. He had 2 guys you may have heard of named Chase & Jefferson. If he doesn't know what to do with a DK Metcalf, then we're in bigger trouble than we thought. Quote

Buffalo Ballin Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago DK Metcalf isn't worth it. Just go after Myles Garrett and some other good defensive players. Quote
