I'll wait Josh Allen, the entirety of the Offensive Line, Mack Hollins, Taylor Rapp (unfortunately injured against KC) Then you've got guys who were on cheap Rookie deals like James Cook, Khalil Shakir, Christian Benford (who was also unfortunately injured), Greg Rousseau, and Terrel Bernard who all performed well over what their pay should provide us. We had the NFL MVP last season. But our roster wasn't anywhere CLOSE to the roster Philly had. You forget last season was considered a soft rebuild. We didn't have the cap to build a team that should have even got to where we got. Side note: Have you been in a coma since the KC game ended? Most got this out of their system in the first few days after the game... Edited 8 hours ago by BillsFanForever19 1 Quote

It's not my job to evaluate players based on their pay scale and performance. I don't set those bars and if you ask me most of these dudes get paid way too much. And the original point was not pay and performance it was "who wanted it more". I'm not going to apologies for thinking our Bills want it just as much. Perhaps it's just a raw talent issue and not heart. Perhaps Bean and McD can't evaluate talent as well as other teams idk. But to your point. Allen plays his heart out in the playoffs. Cook played his part. Shakir played great. We really don't have a ton of elite guys. Beane bargain shops. Coaches coach them up pretty well I might say. They made it to the afc championship game after all. So maybe a good half the team played above their contracts. Idk none of this is probably what you want to read. I'm going to guess, my response is going to be met with more arguing tone and "I'm waiting" bravado so really does it matter what I think? Edited 8 hours ago by Goin Breakdown 1 Quote

Too bad, so sad; they weren't! The Eagles absolutely throttled the team that spanked the Bills in the AFCCG. No one here, can tell me, that the Bills had an honest to god chance against the Eagles. That team was primed for a run to the superbowl regardless of anything that stood before them.. It wasn't just Barkley, or Hurts, or Brown, or Sweat, or Braun or anyone else. It was all of these guys punching above their weight. Collectively that team wanted it more than anyone else. That'd what makes the difference. Every single player giving the absolute max they can, to get the job done. What do the Bills have? The Bills have Allen and that's about it. He's been great, but when hes the only one thats not enough to seal the deal. Whether it's the players around him, the coaches calling the plays, or mistakes he's made himself. There have been multiple opportunities to lead the team to greatness and they've all failed at that. Its the only thing holding this team back, it's not just Allen, or the weapons, or the defense, or the coaches, it's all of them. But at the end of the day.. It doesn't matter who does what. What matters is team success (i.e. winning a superbowl). And that means players being selfless and giving everything they've got. It means coaches pulling plays out of their asses to stop a crucial 4th down. IT MEANS BEING THE BEST OF THE BEST REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANCE. How many times have we all seen the Bills get 'close enough' only to fall flat on their face? The fact of the matter is.... that it's too many... I, for one, am ready for the Bills to step up and win one for themselves and for the fans. It's time to stop being a team of wussies and being a team of men who get ***** done. Let's go Buffalo! I'm going to guess, my response is going to be met with more arguing tone and "I'm waiting" bravado so really does it matter what I think? This is exactly what I want to hear, a well thought out response defending your position. The crux of the matter is that the Bills have in essence only had one side of the ball play at or above expectations over the course of the last 5 post season runs. They've been close enough to sniff the big game but there's very few players making a true impact in the biggest moments. The reason Brady has so many rings is that he would stop at nothing to go out and win games. It's not just guys not giving it there all out there. It's guys getting punched in the face and just taking it. It's about guys clawing and fighting every single play on the other side even if it borders on dirty play.Nobody is going to care how you get there only that you do. I think it stems from McDermott overarching philosophy of being the upstanding team in most instances. He doesn't preach by any means necessary, which is exactly what it takes on any given play and every Sunday. The Bills need everyone in the building to be a killer. Someone who's going to go out and win their rep no matter what. Someone who's going to put it all on the line when the chips are down, as it stands there's only a small handful of those guys playing for the Bills. Sure the Eagles have a great roster and tons of talent, but at the end of the day that talent stepped up and played even better than they had before. The had guys who were rookies or overlooked by other teams come in and make plays. They made it easy for Hurts to be MVP, he didn't have to be superman. The Bills need to dig deep and find that dog in them or they'll forever be know as the team who couldn't close the deal. Quote

I agree with you we need the team to collectively stand up and not take no for an answer. It seems more then anything that Mcd defense is the major problem here KC got shut down by the Texans 212 total yds in that game and we all seen what Philly did to KC offense but the Bills give up 32 to a team that hasn't scored 30 all year long? Mcd defense is the worst I ever seen in the playoffs and I've been watching football for nearly 40 yrs. I'm pretty sure that it's historically bad in our losses maybe even worst of all time bad. Andy Reid and Mahomes know our defense more then anyone and find ways to exploit our schemes and weaknesses. There's no way we will beat them on this stage until Mcd is gone or he gives up full control of the defense. Once the Bills get eliminated next season again in the KC inventational will Pegs finally realize this front office and coaching staff got to go? I hope he does and I hope he makes the move we need to get to the next level and that's hiring Ole Bill Belichek. Bill can match wits with Andy on any given Sunday he's one of few that can do it. Until then I'll see here next yr after KC hands us a 5th loss in the playoffs. Quote
