It would not completely surprise me if Milano is included in a trade for a guy like Garrett.  Williams needs to see the field more.

While Milano might get traded there is not going to be any players included in a trade for Garrett.  All Cleveland will want is picks, they are crippled for 2 years by Watson contract

Edmunds stats

Age 20 2018 80 solo tackles, 41 Ast tackles for 121 total tackles (also the most tackles of his career)

Williams stats

Age 23 2024 68 Solo tackles, 49 ast tackles for 117 total tackles

I think its trying to say youngest with 100 tackles THIS 2024 season.

Feel like Williams was pretty bad in coverage this year. I remember him getting completely fooled by the slightest misdirection and losing his assignment. Thumper in the run game though.

He wasn't quite spector bad in coverage - and he was next to spector far too much...

I didn't see much from him as a blitzer, he looks rather stiff in coverage, and he was a little late to react in the run game at times.  Struggled massively with motion checks.  I do think he sheds pretty well, and is a solid tackler.  Just not sure I'm not still looking for a better player at the Will, not sure if thats still milano - but if they move on from milano after this season i don't think you just elevate williams.

I remain firm on my dark horse theory that Williams could be a sneaky replacement for Bernard should the Bills not retain him. Of course certain "Milano" things need to happen for this to transpire as well.

I don't see it. Bernard was one of 2 captains on the entire team which shows how the Bills feel about him, plus the mass exit of captain types and leaders from last season.

Dorian is one of our few back 7 defenders who brings the wood and plays with violence.  I’ll live with him being out of position sometimes in pass coverage since so many defenders in a Mcdermott defense are either soft or undersized or both.

Thank you...how did everyone miss this?  It was pretty clear in how it was written that they were not referencing in NFL history.

Williams looks fast on the field.  He is a good player to have on the team.  And, if he can learn to cover, he can replace Milano anytime I guess.  Milano is now getting by on his experience and smarts.  that works too, but he is in the downward path at this point it seems.  Of course, lbs play in the league for a looong time if they want to, Milano may be one of those.

I'm such a child. I get more distracted by "misleading title" title than I do the fact that a title may have in fact been misleading.

What is ironic is that the generic [Misleading Title] is often more generic or misleading than the original title.

  • DJB changed the title to Dorion Williams youngest LB in league this year to lead in tackles

Since Tremaine was only 16 years old when he did this, he was in the juvenile division and so is in a different record book.

They can't release his name bc he's not old enough yet

Thats ridiculous. total horse *****. He isn't even close Tremaine did it at 20 years old, Dorian did it at 23

I'll add this, if this is an AI generated tweet it really makes you wonder why corps are spending Billions on AI because this one is not even close to factual.

It was this season

He was the youngest linebacker this season to have a hundred tackles

Our defensive line is also extremely porous, which creates more opportunities for linebacker tackles.

Some of us didn't miss it, but simply chose not to respond (or didn't have the time to respond).  I agree that the comment was relative to the 2024 season and not relative to all-time NFL statistics.  Regardless, and notwithstanding that Williams has some flaws in his game (namely being out of position in coverage), it's still a positive statistic for Williams.  He's an ascending young player.

Well that makes more sense but it wasn't worded that way in the tweet

We gave up 326 first downs, our defense was on the field a lot. Remember when Preston Brown led the NFL in tackles?

I mean the tweet does say he's the youngest player in the NFL with 100 plus tackles

Doesn't say he's the youngest ever with 100 tackles.. so I think that would mean it's this year thing

All while conceding his starting spot to Milano. Who knows how many tackles he would’ve ended up with if he had remained in the lineup.

Finally, someone said it.

I'm not a Milano hater. I just don't think that Williams should've been on the sidelines as much as he was, once Milano returned.
