Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 8 Posted March 8 By the way, so much for his daughter being “very close” to him. From her prior comments, seems like she didn’t even know he had Alzheimer’s. I know every family is different, but wish there had been other family members checking in or other care givers to pop in and out. 1 1 Quote

I know every family is different, but wish there had been other family members checking in or other care givers to pop in and out. That was my first inclination. But the more I thought about it, it occurred to me that it's much less urgent to check in on family or friends when there is 2 people in the household. If there is a medical emergency, the other person is normally there to call 911. It's much more important to do wellness checks on someone that lives by themselves. 1 Quote

I dont see anything saying she has any problems in this article, nor do I care to debate it. Let the family grieve. Tragic things happen. 1 Quote

As I recall from the back and forth on this, my point in posting this was related to the prior discussion re her not checking in frequently with her dad. Not trying to tear her down; more of an explanation that maybe she had her own stuff she was dealing with. 1 Quote

I mean, we talk about her being his "kid" but she's 58 years old and the youngest of his children. She probably has her own grandkids she's chasing around, or whatever. Certainly her own life. Plus, I have to imagine children of famous celebrities have very different relationships with their parents than a lot of us. Who knows what "normal" is for them. 1 Quote
