Players the Bills have met with at Combine

Trying to keep a running list of guys that have met formally with the Bills. Obviously so far mostly defensive players and we won’t know all. If you find some post ‘em and I’ll update the thread.

For what it's worth I like that list.  Grant, Amos, and Collins would be my favorites.  Green is pretty interesting also.

There are only defensive guys here right now outside of TEs so this list is going to be defense heavy starting out

This surprises and concerns me. Feels like an unnatural scheme fit here. There is no chance they take a guy like this at 30…right? …but if he falls to the 50s then his well rounded ability and versatility might be too good to pass up

Bills have more pressing defensive needs. The Bills only major need on offense is WR, could be they have a plan at WR in place and are going heavy on defense in the draft.

UGH!!!  I don't see Mason Graham on this list......totally disappointed!!!!

 

Ah.....in all seriousness, obviously he is going in the top 5.  But man.....he's the 1 dude in this draft that I can confidently say would change our defense completely.  He's the game wrecker we have needed inside for so long.  But, you have to be bad to get a player like that.  And, as frustrating as it is to see players like that go to other teams, I really don't miss the days of picking at the very top. 

 

Anyway, it obviously isn't hard to sense the trend here.  They obviously see what we all see regarding a missing dominant run stuffing DT to pair with Ed.  Of course we think they would prefer to use their pick on an established star if possible, but if they have to pick, hopefully there will be a solid DT left on the board.  It's going to be a defensive heavy draft for sure.

The more I watch Mike Green the more I think he could be a pretty good contributor year 1. I’m interested to see his combine results

Combine will be big for Landon, if he tests well Detroit may relieve your concerns at 28.

Stewart, who I absolutely love... Measured in at barely 6-0-248 with 32.75 arms today... The measure process is going to be tough on him. Not sure how testing will go because he absolutely is explosive as a pass rusher. He comes with a plan and gives big guys fits. He is a heck of a good player who may fall to a bargain point due to his measurables.

 

The rest of them make sense. Including Paul who I'm guessing they see as a 4th-5th Rd possibility for that match-up LB to bring in as Milano ages out. A million percent the Bills will have at least a 3rd Rd Grade on Paul... He's their type... But realistically he's a small match-up LB with average speed.

 

Will Johnson? What are they up to?

hopefully Bean drafts the correct people this time, unlike the last time he sold-out D heavy and over drafted Groot and then took Basham.  Oh, and the time he took Elam in the first.  And another time when he traded back into the first for Edmunds.  

 

I really hope we get a vet D player with our number 30 pick in a trade and get a 1 tech later in the draft.  Grab FA WRs.

Oh.....I know.  He's going to be a top 5 pick.  They have no shot at getting him.  I was just messing around.  I have been ramping up my draft study over the last week and a half or so watching film and I just did DTs the other day.  I mean, we all knew he was great anyway, but studying him more in depth was just a lot of fun.  He's everything you would want in an interior DL.
