The draft trade was rather harmless, but I think you just shouldn't do it. I wouldn't call KC a rival. Yes, the teams have played big games in recent years but once Allen and Mahomes are gone or both teams start to suck then it goes back to being just another game against a team in your conference. The "hatred" or "dislike" won't last like it does for the Fins, Pats, and Jets. Quote

We clearly didn't want him. The trade was harmless. Not choosing to take Worthy could be seen as a mistake, if you feel strongly about that. The issue would be player evaluation and strategy, not the trade. Anyway, I'm not convinced Worthy is some missing link. Let's see how his career pans out the next few years. 1 1 1 Quote

We keep losing to them because our pass rush is garbage and secondary/linebackers are made of glass. Cook doesn't change any of that. Pretty crazy how people still think excellent players are easily replaceable with a guy who’s never taken a snap in the NFL before. 2 Quote
Captain_Quint Posted Wednesday at 07:01 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:01 PM As long as they pay him $15mil/yr, that's fine. No matter how you look at it, that is overpaying for a guy like Cook. If they want to do that, it weakens their team in the longrun. Quote

But they are rivals. That could change in the future, yes, but that's how it is right now. Division rivals are automatically rivals, I'll give you that. Quote

I agree it's a big game on the schedule now as it has been for the past few years. Once these teams decline then it becomes just another game. The rivalries with the Fins, Pats, and Jets will always be there. Quote
TheWeatherMan Posted Wednesday at 07:05 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:05 PM No, but Beane probably would. He’s the best Chiefs GM of all time. 1 3 Quote

The poster talked about speed. They can just draft a guy with speed. We're not doing it.. and even if Beane wanted to, Year 1 of Worthy vs Coleman did not go his way, so even he's got to be gun shy here. But if they're renting him or paying him 12-15M... so be it. We need to beef up the DL and there are a ton of DT's in that 45-75 range. I'd love to have 3 picks in that range. Quote
Offside Number 76 Posted Wednesday at 07:08 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:08 PM No more trades with that team. How many times can the Bills be burned? 1 Quote
Gregg Posted Wednesday at 07:10 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:10 PM I know they have won the division for the past 8 or 9 years but I actually think the Broncos or Chargers will challenge them. Harbaugh wins wherever he goes (49ers, Michigan) so I am pretty confident he will win with the Chargers as well. Quote
FireChans Posted Wednesday at 07:11 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:11 PM Would not trade with the Chiefs under any circumstance. They could offer us Mahomes for a 7th round pick 1 Quote

Stretching the oppositions D out with Worthy's speed and Allens arm strength was a no brainer for me. Worthys ball tracking skills was on full display in the Superbowl. Big rookie season. On the other hand Bills 1st pick in the 2nd round had very little impact his rookie season. Elam, now Coleman. Bills GM clearly needs to do a better job. (I'm by no means giving up on Coleman.) Voted hell no on trading Cook to the Chefs, good grief... Edited Wednesday at 07:31 PM by Figster 1 Quote
Straight Hucklebuck Posted Wednesday at 07:25 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:25 PM I know one GM who would gladly help the Chiefs. Quote
TheFunPolice Posted Wednesday at 07:25 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:25 PM Nooooo! Nooooo! Yelled in the bewildered and angry style of Mr. Gower in the alternate reality where George Bailey is asking him whether he knows him after Nick sprays him in the face and tells him to get out of the bar. Obviously he doesn't know George because George doesn't exist, and poor Mr. Gower was never warned by George (who doesn't exist) not to send poison in the medicine bottle when George was a kid... So no. No trade. 1 Quote
Ned Flanders Posted Wednesday at 07:32 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:32 PM I wouldn't trade a peanut butter sandwich for a tuna fish with those dolts. 2 Quote
uticaclub Posted Wednesday at 07:34 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:34 PM If Beane makes another trade with KC, theres no excuse not to fire him on the spot 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted Wednesday at 07:36 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:36 PM I think this makes a lot of sense. McBeane has already built nearly their entire offense. Cook would be a nice addition to his handiwork. Quote

Fantastic season, but now he’s being “that guy” that deletes his own team rom social media, etc. The truth is, Josh is the the GM for the offense. No way they extended Shakir long term unless Josh wanted him there. Wonder his thoughts on James. His thoughts on Cook?!?? Really. How about best player on our offense outside of Josh and that's a close one. Quote
