Coaches tend to game plan on the flights home, so i get first class seating.  That said, with the money they have, there is no reason for the players to not be seating in seats that are just as comforting as first class.  Just like the Patriots we should our own plane

A lot of this has to do with ownership. Which I find both concerning and frustrating given the state of affairs just down route 5.

Not just squeeze in comfortably. They’re multimillion dollar finely tuned machines expected to perform at the highest level.

 

Saying NFL players complaining about travel is crazy is like putting 87 octane in your Ferrari and then telling the driver “do you know how many people drive a used Prius and/or rely on public transit”.

While NFL teams may make a ton of money its still much harder to justify buying or paying to have a plane setup for this for a total of maybe a dozen trips a year

 

In the end as rich as the NFL is the teams only can charter what is available to charter.

Well, the question is whether they get one-on-one attention from training staff, which 75% of players said they did for the Bills. I think the conclusion is a little different from the question they asked. There might be players who felt their recovery went just fine even if they didn't have one-on-one attention all the time.

I'm sure having new ownership taking over for Snyder has nothing to do with it.

Reading some of the responses here is somewhat debatable whether a 747 can land in Buffalo too.  Likely this response will get a responses from the camp that states you can land it, but then the ones who said you can't will reply again to them.

But the Patriots players gave their team travel an F.  They hate the plane.  It's old and dated, no wifi, cramped and still has ashtrays in the armrests.  So they own a 30-year old 767 that sucks.  whoopeee.

I didn’t even catch that, seems like the Pegulas while they aren’t perfect owners they aren’t cheap (at least when it comes to the players) ones either. If there was some sort of fix for the issue I would think they would do it.

How about the team charter a plane that has more roomy seats and not be so stingy.

I'm on record saying that the Bills should attempt to address this issue.  That said, without buying a custom-built jet with all extra-large seats, it's been brought up above that there may not be a plane available to charter that has enough extra-large seats.  The Patriots do have their own team plane and it's old with tiny seats and the players hate it.

 

There may be a business opportunity for an owner of airplanes - design a custom plane for football teams to charter to away games.  Maybe have small fleet of them. NFL and college teams can charter it when they have away games (particularly cross-country or international flights).  A Buffalo to Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philly, or NYC flight (which is probably less than an hour) might not require such a plane, but Buffalo to Seattle, Arizona, LA, SF, etc. would justify it.  When Buffalo has a home game and Cleveland has a west coast road game, the Browns charter the plane, when Buffalo has a west coast game, they charter it.  With the major college conferences stretching cross-country, college teams could charter it too.  Michigan-LA for USC or UCLA, or Penn State to Oregon would be prime opportunities.  North Carolina at Stanford (ACC) and similar games too.

It flies, drives, floats, or *****; lease instead of buy. The maintenance of a plane is exorbitant; if the plane is in the shop and the team needs to get to Miami, they will have to charter a flight anyway.

When looking at the grades, two things jump out to me:

1 - Bills need a new plane.  That F- really held them back.  They'd be in the top 10 if that were a B or higher

2 - Coach being a B.  There's only 4 coaches ranked less than a B.  There are 4 Coaches ranked as a B.  That means McD is ranked between 24-28 in the league.  For all we hear about culture and family, that seems really low to me.  Additionally, there's been comments about how our scheme was to blame for the KC loss (which I strongly agree with on both offense and defense).  This is not a Fire McD post, but I think it's relevant that McD is not as beloved by his players as it's made out to be.

 

For me, I'm personally giving McD this year to make it to the Super Bowl, or it's time to move on.  He's done great things for us, but it's ***** or get off the pot time and we would need to try something different.  Honestly, I can't say I would have been too upset if we let him go this offseason and brought in Ben Johnson, but that ship has sailed.
