Garrett routinely beats and draws double teams. GROOT is assured of single coverage. Why would we bother with a big money extension on a guy who needs Garrett across from him to be successful? Doesnt that just illustrate how much more important Garrett is? 2 Quote
Magox Posted March 5 Author Posted March 5 Thats a $35.5M AAV Rousseau is objectively somewhere in the 12-15 range ranked DE in the league based on a litany of stats. About $24M AAV sounds just about right. Quote
GoBills! Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I’d be happy with Gregg at 21-24 million 4 year deal. Gives him a chance to 2 another big deal and we get huge upside potential. You won’t find another one of him available in the 2nd round this year and any other options aren’t as young. He will be a beast next year or the following regardless of where he is playing. 1 Quote

If that’s the case, I would say our rosters not good enough. Edited March 6 by Mikie2times 1 Quote

Beast Posted March 6 Posted March 6 No. Just walk away from this guy or use him in a trade package. 1 Quote
colin Posted March 6 Posted March 6 he's a really good player, top 15 or so DE in the NFL. 20-25 as a % of cap this season an the next 4 is decent, prolly goes down to under 7% in 2027. we still need play maker additions to our team, cb, de, wr, and just like quality nfl players at those three positions as well as S, and DT. getting weaker at DE is just the wrong direction, and there will be plenty of cap to go around. 1 Quote
Magox Posted March 20 Author Posted March 20 Rousseau's pressure stats in the playoffs is pretty good relative to his peers. Also, I know there were some people saying that Rousseau gave up on the run play TD by Mahomes, if you look at the video it is the third clip and he absolutely did not give up on that play. By the time he had began to slow down his pursuit, Mahomes was clearing the goal line. I think people probably saw a bad angle or something but it is clear as day in that clip that he had no shot whatsoever of getting to Mahomes. He went inside but didn't bite hard and when he went to pursue Mahomes the RB was there to crackback block Rousseau. 1 Quote
Mat68 Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Still young. Has very good metric. Paired with another good edge I think he makes a big leap. Von was good but either got pressure or gave the qb an easy escape from the pocket. I think with Bosa Groot will be more productive. 2 Quote

FWIW, Rousseau’s 8 game stretch with healthy Von in 2022. 5 sacks, 7 TFL’s, 9 QB hits. On 17 game pace for 10.6 sacks, 15 TFLs and 19 QB hits. Quote
Magox Posted March 21 Author Posted March 21 Already a good starting DE, no signs of peaking. $18.4M AAV for next 5 years was a hell of a deal 3 Quote
