BigDingus Posted Wednesday at 05:33 AM Posted Wednesday at 05:33 AM He definitely will be a HOFer. I wouldn't be surprised if he was 1st Ballot, even if it's uncommon for OL to get that honor. He was 1st or 2nd team All-Pro 6 times and a 9 x Pro Bowler. Dude had insane longevity too. Playing OL at age 43? That's crazy. 1 1 Quote

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted Wednesday at 10:55 AM Posted Wednesday at 10:55 AM I remember when we first signed him. Lot of folks on here (myself included) thought he was the steal of the undrafted guys. Then, we were proven right and he developed into a stud!! And then we lost him!!! So Billsy. 1 Quote

Dockery was flat out terrible. I remember once the Bills were playing in the mud. The players were filthy except Walker. His uniform looked like it was dry cleaned. Walker even had some sort of weird TV video he would do.  Dockery was much like Melvin Fowler. The both came in to a horrid Bills OL as free agents, and both looked  as if they could play, but they stunk up the field. Edited Wednesday at 12:07 PM by Bill from NYC 1 2 Quote
BillsPride12 Posted Wednesday at 11:45 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:45 AM Peters was a hell of a player. It's a damn shame how his Bills career turned out but that was par for the course back then 1 Quote

So Billsy.  The Bills didn't "lose" Peters. They threw him away. Russ Brandon, the Bills de facto GM, cheated Peters by negotiating a deal based on him playing RT as he was just learning the position. When Peters moved to LT and made All Pro, he wanted to renegotiate his deal, but Brandon refused.  Peters held out for one training camp IIRC, but finally returned to the team, vowing to play out his contract and leave in FA. Brandon offered him a decent contract, but Peters made it clear he was done with the Bills. Brandon traded him to Philly for one of the Eagles' 2 first round picks (it ended up being #28) before the season started.  Peters made the Pro Bowl for Philly that season.  The Bills didn't have an NFL caliber LT until 2012 when they drafted Cordy Glenn in the 2nd round.  The way that Brandon handled Peters -- and to a lesser extent, Marshawn Lynch -- is the primary reason I absolutely loath Russ Brandon.  20 minutes ago, Bill from NYC said: Langston Walker was a bad RT. MJS Posted Wednesday at 01:28 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:28 PM You don't choose what team you go into the hall of fame with in the NFL. It isn't like basketball. 1 hour ago, SoTier said: The way that Brandon handled Peters -- and to a lesser extent, Marshawn Lynch -- is the primary reason I absolutely loath Russ Brandon. Lynch had a bunch of off the field issues in Buffalo and then continued to have them in Seattle for awhile until he changed and matured. For that reason, I don't blame the Bills for moving him. Quote

ChronicAndKnuckles Posted Wednesday at 01:43 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:43 PM The worst move in Bills history was not paying Jason Peters. A top 5 player ALL TIME at his position. Normally, I’m against it when players don’t honor their current contracts, but Peters was switched to a completely different position (casual fans didn’t understand at the time the importance of a elite blind side blocker) and played at a ridiculous level. Buffalo got absolutely FLEECED by the Eagles. They made up for it slightly for the Shady McCoy/Alonso trade, but Jesus Christ. I can’t even remember the GM at the time. Who was it ? Bc they’re a moron. 2 1 Quote

T master Posted Wednesday at 02:16 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:16 PM First ballad HOFer for sure ! TO go from undrafted to one of the best LT's in the league the only other person that i know of off the top of my head that did that was John Randle .  But you can bet there will be no thank you to the Bills for bringing him to Buffalo because of what ever his reason was for wanting out of Buffalo or thanking their coaching staff for making the suggestion of changing his position to put him in the place he is . Quote
