Chandler#81 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Outstanding! He’s worth every penny! Congrats Shakir! 4 Quote
Cheektowaga Chad Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago At first glance that's a good contract for the bills Nice guarantee for shakir as well 1 Quote
Brandon Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago That's good, he's becoming an excellent player and I'm glad the Bills recognize his value to the team. I'm guessing that the first two or three seasons are relatively team-friendly as well. Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Up to $15M a year. Actually lower than I thought but would be. Only $32M in guaranteed cash? This is a win. 2 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Thats a great deal for Buffalo well below what he would have gotten on the open market by about 4 or 5 Million AAV. Gonna have to take that saved cash and give it to Cook most likely. 1 Quote
BILLS 4 EVER Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Seems on par. I'm glad we kept him but he is far from a #1. We're going to end up spending a lot at WR. That leaves little wiggle room for Cook and the Defense. We need to spend on D. I wonder how many void years on the signing bonus. How did they spread it to alleviate the cap. 32m/4 =8 m 8m per year plus salary. Edited 2 hours ago by BILLS 4 EVER Quote

The timing, speed, ease, and price tag of this deal was a direct shot across the bow at Cook. Cook aside, great contract for the Bills. 2 Quote
ddaryl Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago did you notice how Shakir didn't use social media demanding a new contract with a certain amount nor did he delete all references to the Bills.... 2 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I think it’s a great signal to Cook that we take care of our own. 1 Quote

Those could each be $16m for all we know. Bottom line, it's not $32m divided 4. Im sure they structured this to hit the hardest cap wise, in 2-3years from now. Beane needs to stop losing so much dead cap, due to poor deals. We have Benford, Groot as locks to be extended. Highly likely for Bernard, and I'd put Cook at 50/50 though hopeful to keep him beyond 2025. Key is hitting on these 1st/2nd round picks...we're eating Elam $ essentially and Kincaid/Coleman need to elevate their game. 1 Quote
stlbills13 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Love it. Making Gabe Davis money and is the far far far superior player Quote
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I mean great! That usually means the cost this year is mostly the same, and if they are saying up to that means some decent incentives built in. Honestly, he's the most proven passing weapon we have Quote
