Draconator Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I have to keep my wife in mind. Her tastebuds were forever altered by radiation treatments to her mouth for cancer. Anything that we considered mild is way too spicy for her and she can't eat it. Pepperoni falls in the too spicy category. If my wife and I are ordering a pizza it's cheese, mushrooms, spinach, and green bell peppers. If the pizza is just for me, meat lovers with Banana peppers. Quote

Buffalo716 Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I like a Sicilian style Dough fermented and proofed ... Sauce over cheese finished with pecorino Romano You can throw toppings like pepperoni or something on top of that but it's so good just by itself 1 Quote
Augie Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) I’m generally a pepperoni guy, but I will add different toppings based upon which joint I’m at. They each have their own go-to stuff for me. One place is pepperoni and very thinly sliced Roma tomatoes. Another has the perfectly blended fennel sausage with the spice level just right. Another place has an owner from Grand Island and they have thinly sliced red onions that have a beautiful sweetness to them when cooked. Toppings vary, like all pepperoni is not the same. The big flat ones and the little cup and char ones may as well be two different things. There are very few things I will not eat on a pizza. My son used to piss me off (intentionally, I believe) by getting everything available on a pizza. He’d get a Hawaiian pizza and add BBQ chicken, jalapeños and anything else they had to load it up with, all at once. That was some disgusting stuff! Edited 21 hours ago by Augie Quote
frostbitmic Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Pie #1 go to- Pepperoni, Sweet Banana Pepper Rings, Red Pepper Flakes ... Sometimes add on ground Ital Sausage. Pie #2 - White Pizza with Black Olives and Basil Leaves Pie #3 - Just for me, my wife considers this a sin ... Ham and Pineapple A little drizzle of Hot Honey goes nicely on any Pizza. Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Pineapple, ham and sausage. Stuffed crust. Parmesan and extra salt Quote
Mark Vader Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago My go to pizza is Pepperoni and Sausage with extra cheese and extra sauce. Sometimes I will add mushrooms to that. Also, getting a pizza with linguica is very nice too. Quote
davefan66 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago If I’m getting take out? Pepperoni. If it’s an option, I get sweet sauce. Making my own? Italian sausage and caramelized onions for me. Pepperoni and black olives for the wife. Quote
Simon Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Sauce, heavy enough that it almost becomes a fork and knife endeavor. Cheese, applied liberally. With a trench shovel. Pepperoni, in amounts that most folks would consider obsessive and frightening. Maybe the very occasional bit of ham, thin-sliced tomater or light scattering of banana peppers. Anything else is a foul manifestation of evils borne of the bowels of hell. Quote

Sweats Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago I used to work years ago in downtown Toronto, and we'd always stop into this Sicilian Pizzaria at lunch. They had some fairly obscure authentic pizzas on their menu and we decided to try every one throughout the months.......some were good, most were really bad. The place was a high rated, top of the line pizza joint. It made me enjoy my standard pepperoni, mushrooms, ham and green olive pizza even more. Quote
frostbitmic Posted 7 minutes ago Posted 7 minutes ago Chinese hot and spicy shrimp (no rice) on a pepperoni pizza was always a good hangover brunch. Quote
