PromoTheRobot Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) But just like now, they will limit where you can see certain games via geolocation. This may be the first step towards eliminating over-the-air free TV games. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/starting-in-2025-no-nfl-games-will-be-exclusively-broadcast-on-traditional-tv Edited 13 hours ago by PromoTheRobot 1 Quote
ddaryl Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago if this means we have to have 4 or more streaming services to watch all of the Bills games then it will be the end One service at a reasonable price is fair but if they are going to milk multiple streaming companies and expect fans to have multiple streaming services, then I will be watching less and less 4 5 Quote
BillsFanMike Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Last year was already too much to watch games on 4 different streaming services. They need to have one website where you can pay to stream these games. 1 1 Quote

So the scenario you brought up isn't in play just yet. 2 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago They are just getting us used to watching games on stream. Eventually free over-the-air TV games will go away and we'll be paying to watch all games. 1 Quote
gordong Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago This was the first time in 60 years I have not watched the superbowl... I used to watch any game that was on TV... this year I pretty much only watch bills games, if they don't get their crap together I will stop watching all of it. 1 Quote
Sweats Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago First time I've had a season where Bills games were sporadic across the board for viewing and the first time where i couldn't watch multiple games cause they just weren't available from my tv cable. So, i'd end up watching the YouTube highlights later on during the day. Is it ideal?!?........awe, hell no, but what choice are they giving me cause i ain't giving them any more of my money. 2 1 Quote

I have prime and peacock and over the air TV. not spending any more on it. Quote
Low Positive Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago If they let us buy out-of-market games a la Carte, which is what people want. this is a good development. Quote
The 9 Isles Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) It used to be free over the air because it was paid for with the commercials that aired during the games. Now you will have to pay for multiple services just to be able to get the games and watch even MORE commercials. I miss the old days for just about every reason. . What you want is not good for the NFL....you want Sunday ticket for less than Sunday ticket why would they give that to you? 95% of Sunday ticket are fans who live out of market, that is the base for Sunday ticket sales. It is not getting cheaper. Quote

While we all dislike the number of services required, NFL ratings are not declining like those in other sports. Quote
TheFunPolice Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Some day there's going to be this service... where you pay a fee (probably a somewhat hefty one) and in return you get all the streaming services and their channels in one place. And we will have come full circle. Except it will be more expensive. 1 1 Quote

One price. One platform. Reliable. 4K. Whatever it is, people will pay it and have access to all the content, everywhere. Quote

Peacock, Paramount, Prime, Foxsports, ESPN+, NFL network, Netflix and I don't know if I covered all of them but on top of that paying Spectrum $160 a month to get the occasional home game that isn't in Prime time is f...in BS. Can't do it. I watched less games this year than ever before....and I have the above streaming services. Guess I'll have to just get the ticket next year. It's such a ripoff. All the major networks have streaming platforms. NBC,CBS,FOX, ESPN etc. I'm all for a furure boycott. 1 Quote

The only issue is only sunday afternoon games are available on the sunday ticket. So you are still out Monday Thursday and Sunday night. And NFL Sunday ticket isn't cheap for a guy like me who only wants to watch Bills games. If you want to watch lots of games all day long then the price is more than fair 1 Quote
Boatdrinks Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Of course, these over the air “ free” games are hardly free. Networks pay billions for the rights to show these “ freebies”. Not sure they are going to change that business model just yet. It’s still the most viewed network TV product by a mile. Quote
nedboy7 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago NFL is disgusting. I can't wait for the season to start. 4 Quote
