Another Fan Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I've been there once with my parents when I was in my 20's. We went to Yellowstone National Park and stayed in Jackson Hole. Thought they were both very beautiful. I had no idea how big Yellowstone Park was until I went there. I do have an online friend that lives there. Loves it but tells me it's like bitterly bitterly cold this time of year and how many aspects of it can be intimidating to people not used to it. Like you could drive literally for miles without seeing a person. And yeah she and her husband do frequent a restaurant there where Josh donated some of his shoes from his Wyoming days to the owner/restaurant. From second hand accounts Josh is well pretty much the person we all like here: Friendly and very giving. Actually the few encounters from people in Wyoming they were all like that. Similar to Buffalonians like that. Quote
coloradobillsfan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I've been to Yellowstone around 15 times, often taking a different route each time to explore a new part of the state. Along with "Parkadise" (which includes the Tetons) some highlights are Devils Tower, Independence Rock, South Pass City, Buffalo Bill Cody Museum, Hebgen Lake Earthquake site, and Dinosaur quarry digs at Thermopolis. I still haven't done the Beartooth Highway which is supposed to be among the most scenic drives in the country, or explored the Wind River Range which some say is as beautiful as Yosemite but because of the lack of highway access relatively few ever see it. Wyoming is a very special state, but yes it's very sparse and services can be hard to find - but that's part of its charm. Quote
